Hello January filers! My fiancee and I are November filers, but we were just approved, today we just received our NOA2 and found out we were approved. :D

Congratulations! 1.5 months for them to process an RFE reply! We will reach 1.5 months by next weekend as well.

2 weeks for MVC to assign a new case number might be a slight underestimate. If you are lucky, you might make it! Good luck ;)

Thank you @TiogaTiago for your update! This helps for sure!

So do you have the case number yet or still waiting to be scan stage?

No, we didn't get a case number :-( My fiancé was told we should have it by Monday, but I was told they didn't have a timeline of when we should receive it.  Looking at all the posts on here, it's almost funny how inconsistent the NVC answers are. I saw your additional post about the answers you got from the NVC when asking about the electronic process, thank you for sharing! Hopefully we can all cobble together a picture of reality based on our different conversations with the NVC :-)

Some of us are waiting much longer for notices from the NVC. I'm at 5 weeks currently.  It seems they are switching to an electronic system now - at least that's what I've gathered from my conversations with them.  I certainly hope yours is processed much sooner than that, but might want to set you expectations lower :-) Best of luck to you!

Yes, it was a long wait! We are excited to be onto the next step.

Crossing my fingers, we've waited long enough.

Wow 5 weeks!! How many weeks do you have to wait until you are out of normal processing time with the NVC? 6 weeks?

The I-797 says to wait 30 days, but when you call the NVC they say it can take up to 6 weeks. Time deadlines/guidelines seems to be a bit vague when it comes to all this, but I think the 30 day/6 week frame is when you should start pushing for more answers.  Hopefully you will get a response well before that time. :-)
