I read about that. I'm sorry to hear about the delay. Keep eating healthy food and hope for the best!

I wouldn't be too concerned if I only have 1 or 2 scars, but I have around 10... I had a very rough time when my dad died. Sigh. I hope my honesty will be enough for them to clear me.

Good luck to us! By the way, when dis you go to medical and when is your psych eval?

@PR&PR, wow you have been waiting a long time! I hope you finally get your case number this Friday! And yeah, I hope we get ours, too. I am dying to find out what happens when the doctor sees all my scars. Lol

I went last Tuesday. I was honestly really nervous the entire time. I've never been seriously sick before except for when my gall bladder was removed. Anyway, I haven't gotten a schedule for my personal evaluation yet as I have to return to the clinic for the sputum test which requires me to report for 3 consecutive days. If everything goes smoothly (no rescheduling), the sputum test result should be out by August 20. Hopefully I can get an interview schedule before September 7 as my NOA2 expires then. My visa journey has become so stressful. I'm trying to hold on.

I hope you get it! Im at 29 days, and as of last night they had nothing. I don't know if it has to see with the embassy where we will interview or something. So weird!

I am going through Montreal too and tomorrow will be 21 days.  I'm hoping to schedule my interview the last week of July/ first week of August so I am not too impatient yet, luckily.

Anyone else waiting a long time for their case to be received by the NVC? We received our NOA2 on May 5th, but NVC still doesn't have it and it's been almost 5 weeks now. I know they say 6 weeks when you call the NVC, but I'm just wondering if other people are waiting this long also.  Thanks!

Haha! Thanks for the interest, I guess? We still waiting for the case number, which we will probably get tomorrow as it has been around 3 weeks from NOA2 now. So I guess I will go to medical around the last week of June. I will let you know what happens! I am so scared and I regret being a stupid high school girl. :(

More than 1 month I got the NOA2 and still 0 letters, good luck :/

Hi all,

I have a quick question regarding scheduling interview with the Embassy. I got an email a couple days ago from NVC that they sent my case to the US embassy in Montreal Canada (where I'll be applying for the visa). Two days ago I checked the visa application status on CEAC website, and it's showing my case is ready for me to schedule the interview. I filled out the DS-160 and tried to make an appointment on Canada US Embassy's website, however, it told me that my NVC case number was not activated yet.

I have not been contacted by the US Embassy in Montreal with any instructions. Does it mean they have not received my case yet? Should I expect an email from them? Why is the CEAC website telling me it's ready to schedule an interview, whereas the US Embassy website does not allow me to? Do you guys know any contact info of US Embassy in Montreal that I can reach out?

Appreciate the help!!

Have you sent them packet 3 yet?? You cannot make an interview until you send that and you receive the packet 4 email.  I have read that sometimes even when it says "ready", it doesn't necessarily mean Montreal has you in their system yet.  Packet 4 seems to usually be sent back within a day.  If it isn't, wait a few days and resend packet 3.  They will not respond to your packet 3 email until they have you in their system; I have seen that some people had to resend it few times until they got entered in their system and then received packet 4.

Need some more data points here.  I finally received my NOA2 and looks like everything was approved on 5/27/17.  Yay!!!!  Now I am playing the NVC waiting game.  As of today it has been 2 weeks since they should have sent information to NVC but I called and they said that they dont have anything yet and that it takes 6 weeks.  I am sure that is what they are trained to say.  Anyone from experience know how long it takes for NVC to assign a case number after NOA2 is received.  I tried to google but little success on the data.  Thank you in advance!!!

I called NVC at 12 days after NOA2 and they said they havent got the case yet.  I called at 14 days and they said they had it but had not assigned a case number.  I called at 18 days and they had assigned a case number.   Not sure if that helps you as I know nothing seems consistent, but that is my history so far.

It was honestly much easier than I thought!

While I was waiting in line I could hear other K1s being interviewed and they had a lot of questions to answer (how did you meet, show some pictures, what are you gonna do in America).

The man that interviewed me only asked me how long we have been dating/when did we meet for the first time, and if my fiancé was studying or working (cuz I met him during and exchange semester).

Then he told me everything looked good to him and that my visa was approved!

Congratulationssss Alexia ❤️

call USCIS and ask to speak with Tier 2. The website is still malfunctioning. We got approved but they showed nothing.

But usually the website does announce RFE's. I would've called if I were you.

Yeah, we have called a few times over the past two weeks and haven't got anywhere.

We will definitely ask for a tier 2 officer on our next call tomorrow. What can they do any differently?
