Is this Sputum test a PH medical thing only?  Or do all medicals in all countries have that?  I don't recall reading or seeing anything about such a test?

It is not a Philippine thing only. The test is prescribed by CDC (Center for Disease Control). It appears that they are more stringent with the medical for high risk countries in the 3rd world as a big percentage of the population is potentially exposed to the virus.

For anyone that is still waiting on a notice of action, we got an RFE today after 128 days.

Not to ideal result as it postpones things a little but we are pleased none the less. Let's hope we can really get the ball rolling now!

Cheers

We also got an RFE after 125 days of waiting...as soon as I saw the update on the tracker I started gathering evidence, new passport pics, lol just got ready for anything. They wanted more evidence of me and my fiance meeting, so I was able to send it the next day and they received it 2 days later.

Good luck! :)

I sent a few pictures from his birthday, new years, a trip we took with his parents while I was visiting Bulgaria, passport stamps of a Turkey trip, my boarding passes and flight tickets,a picture of my engagement ring, mostly pictures of us together because I don't have receipts or reservations with both of our names. I sent a written statement as well, saying when we saw each other. I hope thats enough!

No they won't tell you what it is over the phone, I spoke to a tier 2 before I knew I had the RFE and was told that one was ordered for me but she couldn't say what it was for, she couldn't say for legal reasons I am assuming.

Omg that should be enough evidence that you are together  My fiance actually said we should have made a baby to prove we are together haha, but I don't think that's even "good" evidence LOL

Look over your petition and see if you missed anything, I did that five times probably, or maybe they need passport pics, I've seen that a lot recently.

Congrats!!! That was a long wait!!! Happy for you!!

Can I ask, when was your NOA 1?

Did you received the NOA 2 in the mail? Has the tracker changed?

Thanks! :)

Thank you!

our NOA1 was Jan 3rd

we received the NOA2 in the mail yesterday but it says the notice date is technically 5/31

And the tracker still says received!

Good luck to you :)

I hit a major road block in my medical. I was required to do the 3 day sputum test which will add 8 more weeks to my visa journey. Plus 6 more months if positive. It's been a really awful day. I missed work tonight coz it took forever to get my x-ray results. Congrats to my fellow Filipino beneficiaries who have completed their medical.

All will be fine. Drink lots of water since you gotta produce sputum. It will be fine.

Question about the affidavit of support I-134. I've asked my sister and her husband to be a joint sponsor. My question is who should fill out the I-134? My sister or her husband? Or does it matter if they file taxes together? Her husband has been bringing in the income for the past few years, but starting in July, they will be moving so my sister will be supporting them and my brother-in-law will be looking for another job. Does it matter whose name they use? Sorry, this is probably a basic question! hehe... :D Also, because they will be moving soon and don't know their new address yet, I would like to just put down our parents address for them. Is that okay? Thanks in advance!
