Having the same NOA1 date , i know exactly how frustrating its been for us to have such a long wait. Its been 4 months already with no response what so ever.

Im a very patient person , mostly cuz of my Automotive Racing career wich has taught me not to give up regardless of any punch you take along the race, because it aint over until that start/finish line is crossed, but this process has really showed me a new meaning to the word Patience.

My Fiance on the other hand, not so patient , but she did a great job during the first 3 months of the process, then the reality started to sink in and the dissapointment of not receiving a letter yet made this process a bit tougher since it had been already 6 months since last time we saw each other and our normal in between time was around 2-3 months.

Lucky me i will have 5 weeks in between one race and another and all stars aligned for me to be able to go visit her for a week down in Brazil. At least these will make our minds shift a bit , and enjoy being with each other while we keep waiting for our NOA2.

I've felt let down many times along the wait also, but kept my head up cuz i know it will all be worth it at the end for all of us ...

And remember it aint over until the checker flag is waived buddy!

I'm rooting for all of us Jan Filers

Enjoy your time with your fiance...just remember everything happens for a reason and the old saying about good things coming to those that wait. I know the waiting game is so trying on a relationship but if you have made it this far you are almost done

Just reassure each other and always remember the things that make your love special

hoping to hear great news for you

Exactly right, there is no such thing as giving up when it comes to our fiancées! I am generally a patient person too, but this definitely pushes the limit and then some.

Hang in there, our time is soon. I think all of us feb 2s are on the same desk in a stack together.

So I am working with my Juvy to do the DS-160 forms

she does not have a computer so much easier for us to walk through and have me fill everything in

after done I will send her the info to retrieve and do the submit and print

Is this ok as she will review all and actually do the submit from the Fils?

just curious how how others do this process

Yes, as long as she is the one to electronically sign and submit it you will be okay.  Don't try to trick them.  They will see where the application came from.  Make sure she is the one who signs it.

I agree with a lot of this. It does seem as if we here at VisaJourney put a high importance on the case number. I guess it is because like you said, we all want to see some movement on our case and receiving the case number usually is a sign that the case will be forwarded to the embassy soon.

The unfortunate fact is that the whole process has slowed down from the pace that K1 visa processing was going at back in summer and fall of 2016, but sadly there is not much that we as individuals going through the process can do about it. They do state that NOA2 can take up to 5 or 6 months and the NVC case number can take up to 6 weeks, yet we have all been calling but USCIS and the NVC earlier than that for the most part. I do understand it is frustrating to wait, especially when you see people with dates after yours getting ahead of you, but they do give official timeline estimates for a reason.

To help calm your nerves, the Case Number is not really important for you until you actually pay your Visa Application fee later in the process.  That has been the only time I've used that number so far.  The DS-160 only asks for your USCIS WAC number.  So, you can start filling out the DS-160 now if you'd like, since it has a save function, and pass some time preparing by doing that.  Just don't submit it, only save it.

As for your question, not quite sure what your asking.... the NVC only gives you a case number if you ask for it.  Otherwise, you get nothing from them, you'll end up getting information from the embassy in your beneficiaries country.  Which to be honest, I haven't gotten anything yet.  But thanks to Visajourney I got a copy of what they send my fiance, so we know what is expected of us and have started that way.  Still waiting on the official notice from the Embassy (See my timeline in signature for dates)

I think the urgency on these forums to get a Case Number from the NVC is the result of our dire need to see movement in our petition after waiting so so long as it sat still at the USCIS.  The number does let you track the petition through the CEAC which is nice, but its usefulness ends there till your fiance receives the packet from the Embassy with the real instructions and information to follow since everything at this point is embassy specific.

So calling every day, driving yourself mad, over this number is not really warranted.  You can call the NVC everday but it still will not speed up this process for yourself any faster than if you called 1 time per week.

Wait - I thought the number we need for the DS-160 is our NVC case number - NOT the USCIS wac-receipt number?

Can anyone clarify this? Thanks!

random inquiry for petitioners: is there a document we need to provide to prove that we are able to marry? like the CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage) of the Philippines.

No. if you have never been married the all you need is just a line in the letter "intent to marry" . if you have been married before, you need divorce decree/certificate or your spouse death certificate.

In PH, CENOMAR is required but only for the beneficiary, if never been married. But not for the USC. This CENOMAR is a Philippines thing.

Just got the consulate email/packet 3 from France and went ahead and scheduled an interview for the 21st! We waited 2 weeks to see if the French consulate scheduled an interview for us and to our surprise they didn't!  There was an earlier date but the doctors office was full so 21st it is! :(

At least we have the email in hand XD

Unfortunately, we still haven't received out NOA2 yet and I am constantly told that it is ok it could happen.  However, I took a chance and called ahead to NVC (which I haven't received a letter from them either saying they were sending our application to Naples, Italy) and got out case number and invoice number.  Our case moved quickly and stayed in "in transit" status for 1 day.  It already says "Ready" and we paid for the VISA online.  We scheduled my fiance's appointment as earliest as possible for July 11.  I've read that usually the consulate in Italy will automatically schedule the Doctor's appointment the day before the interview appointment date? Does anyone know if this is how it works for sure?
