Then I would just give them that honest answer. I mean just like I have read that you cannot go with the sole purpose of working...But I sure don't plan on being a housewife. I plan on building a life and finding a good job once I finally get a chance to be with the man I love. I think this is everyone situation, as long as your main plan is to get married, and you do not have school lined up right now it should be fine.

Yes, I knew I wanted to marry him the second I saw him and that's my purpose. We get married the week I'll arrive. At least that's our plan. I don't know where that couple came from, I think Jordan or so and the officers said she applied for student visa on the purpose to get married. I applied to study even though I was engaged and marry then in semester holidays. I didn't do anything with a bad intention i just didn't know it better. And yes, I love him and I want to marry him but like you don't want to end up as a housewife I don't want to end up as one either and I still have to study to find a good job one day ..

OMG how long!! 5 months soon! Maybe your papers are already in your embassy..? Wish you luck! We have called NVC they told us they didn't get our papers from USCIS yet. Did you call?

I called NVC and they blew me off because I am still stuck at USCIS.

USCIS Tier2 told me that my case has not been reviewed yet, but they have until 180 days and to call back if nothing received by then.... thanks!

I am certainly blessed to have my fiance and family and and and.... but that does not stop the anxiety, fear, worry, longing, etc.

I think you will be fine. You got your NOA2, they already know you have applied for a student visa before. They know your background. So just be honest about it when they ask at the interview. Do not lie, and just be vague, I do not have specific plans to study, I am coming to get married.

You think they know all that? Thank you for your answer though. :) I seriously just want to come home to him and start our lives together. And then study haha

They run background check on us. They ask for all those information about our past travels, if we have applied for visas before and so on. I am pretty positive all our lives are being scrutinized.

I would like to know how many January filers are still waiting for NOA2? I meant not those who received RFE, I know they seems move forward to March filers now,I'm February filer and still waiting for NOA2,my fiancé tried to persuade me to be patient and understand their workload, but sometimes it's really hard to be calm and seeing other filers whose received date are later than ours but they've received the letter,I just hope my fiancé also understand my feeling not just persuade me to understand their workload.

I think there's a fair few of us left! Jan 30 here

Does anyone else have an April NOA2 and still waiting on their case number?

It's been over 4 weeks for us now (approval April 27th) & the NVC still say they haven't received our petition. Hoping we're not alone here!

Call USCIS, ask for Tier 2 Personnel about your case, they should have the right answer.

are the fees paid online? I read somewhere that it needs to be paid in person.

With Montreal they need to be paid online. I can find the link to the website where you have to create an account and choose your courier service pick up location and one of the steps is paying the fee. Then on the same website with that account you make your interview appointment. Do you need the website?

No one picks the phone up. Maybe I have the wrong number. Do you have it?

It's just an automatic machine.

Ok cool thank you for the info! I will most likely get the website when I get packet 4, so don't worry. I cannot wait to get my NVC number and packet 4 and schedule my interview. I feel like I am so close, yet so far!

Ya no problem! I got mine with my packet 4 so you should too. I can't wait either my hubby is coming on the 8th so we will do it all then. I'm a little nervous as well it feels like the closer it is the more stressful it becomes. So worth it though 🤗

Hey everyone who is still waiting for NOA2. I just had an emotional breakdown this morning after seeing yet another day with no letter in the mail. This is on top of one of my kids moving on to middle school and leaving elementary school behind. In many ways, I feel like my class (all of my friends here who have their NOA2s) are my graduating class, and I have been left behind. It's a tough road, this is, being separated from the love of my life, with all of the emotional torment that comes along with it, and still trying to keep up with my daily life. There's nothing magic here that I am trying to say. I guess I just wanted to say that I have picked myself up off the floor again, and am trying to carry on. To anyone else out there that's suffering like me, you are not alone, and I understand what you are going through.

Having the same NOA1 date , i know exactly how frustrating its been for us to have such a long wait. Its been 4 months already with no response what so ever.

Im a very patient person , mostly cuz of my Automotive Racing career wich has taught me not to give up regardless of any punch you take along the race, because it aint over until that start/finish line is crossed, but this process has really showed me a new meaning to the word Patience.

My Fiance on the other hand, not so patient , but she did a great job during the first 3 months of the process, then the reality started to sink in and the dissapointment of not receiving a letter yet made this process a bit tougher since it had been already 6 months since last time we saw each other and our normal in between time was around 2-3 months.

Lucky me i will have 5 weeks in between one race and another and all stars aligned for me to be able to go visit her for a week down in Brazil. At least these will make our minds shift a bit , and enjoy being with each other while we keep waiting for our NOA2.

I've felt let down many times along the wait also, but kept my head up cuz i know it will all be worth it at the end for all of us ...

And remember it aint over until the checker flag is waived buddy!

I'm rooting for all of us Jan Filers
