I had a breakdown today too when i saw some March approvals... I'm not a patient person, and so far i been so good. Today for some reason was too much :(

I don't believe there's been any March approvals other than expedited requests. USCIS is still working on Feb and March won't see approvals for another couple of weeks, probably.

Hey, I've to share something with you and I'm really scared now. I read a post from 2015 that someone's K1 was denied because they applied for student visa while they were engaged. I've the same situation. The thing is, I was in Miami for 3 months just to have some time out. Then I decided it's the best place to study interior design, so I applied. By the time I got the lette that I'm in, I was already in a relationship with my fiancé and we got engaged a month after. We didn't know anything about K1 visa and I wanted to study first before we get married. Student visa was of course denied because my fiancé was my bank sponsor. We applied with the help of a lawyer a month after and she said it shouldn't be a problem but I'm all freaked out now.

Other people who had their F1 denied weren't engaged or 'only' had a boyfriend there and applied for K1 later after F1 was denied  and got approved.

Can someone please say something to make me calm down? Or is there another portal with this discussion? :(

You say that you want to study first before you get married.  You can't do that on a K1.  A K1 is for the purposes of marriage only.  If you want to study here, while coming here on a K1, you'll have to get married first, then study.

Have you cancelled your school yet? As SkruDe said, the purpose of the K1 visa is to get married. If you have school it can look a bit shady...If you have cancelled school and you tell them your sole purpose is to get married and be with him and it is true, than you have a chance.

Hey everyone who is still waiting for NOA2. I just had an emotional breakdown this morning after seeing yet another day with no letter in the mail. This is on top of one of my kids moving on to middle school and leaving elementary school behind. In many ways, I feel like my class (all of my friends here who have their NOA2s) are my graduating class, and I have been left behind. It's a tough road, this is, being separated from the love of my life, with all of the emotional torment that comes along with it, and still trying to keep up with my daily life. There's nothing magic here that I am trying to say. I guess I just wanted to say that I have picked myself up off the floor again, and am trying to carry on. To anyone else out there that's suffering like me, you are not alone, and I understand what you are going through.

I have been praying for you. And I'm not even religious. I'm one of them who check in here to see your approval and everyone else who are still waiting. You are in our thoughts!! Never give up!

Of course I cancelled school. I didn't even had the chance to study. I mean of course I will study after we get married. I'm 21. What else am I supposed to do .. I want to get married. But I already had everything working when I met my fiancé spent a lot money for translations and stuff for college that I didn't wanted to just give it up. We seriously didn't know anything about the K1 at that time.

Then I would just give them that honest answer. I mean just like I have read that you cannot go with the sole purpose of working...But I sure don't plan on being a housewife. I plan on building a life and finding a good job once I finally get a chance to be with the man I love. I think this is everyone situation, as long as your main plan is to get married, and you do not have school lined up right now it should be fine.

There are also stories of people who got on student visa and got approved for k1 after.
