I have a few questions for my fellow Filipino filers:

1. Once we get our NVC case number, do I have to wait for the status to be "ready" before I can schedule my medical and interview?

You can already work on the DS-160, pay for the interview and schedule the interview already. But it has to be on READY status before you actually go in. So plan the date properly. Pay for the visa already. It takes 8hrs or so after paying before the payment reflects online. After payment, that's when you can schedule the interview. Create an account if you don't have one yet: https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ApplicantHome

There is no Packet 3 for MNL.

What's required to apply for visa is posted online:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Interview Checklist - What to bring to Interview:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

2. Will they send Packet 3 via mail? Am I required to take it to the medical and interview? I heard that beneficiaries from other countries can't go to their interview without Packet 3, and some can't even schedule their interview without having received this yet.

There is no Packet 3 for MNL.

Medical is walk-in. Register online or you can register at the clinic but no appointment scheduling, you just go there. I suggest doing the registration online and print a copy. http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

It is recommended that your case status is "Ready" before going in. Once it's "Ready", take a screenshot and print it. They did ask me for an NVC copy with MNL number. The screenshot will suffice. I emailed NVC two weeks after NOA2, and NVC replied back after over a month, and that's already after I've taken my medical. So there's no point waiting for an email/mail from NVC. Some people have taken the medical without the interview appointment yet - but they have their reasons and they have to explain those reasons, which is a hassle. (One example was this lady I was sitting next to, who has three children to bring with her to the states - and  imagine the cost of visa for all 4 of them, and scheduling without knowing how long they're gonna do medical for was a pain so she decided to take the medical without the scheduling appointment yet.)

What you need to enter SLEC are the following:

Php 16, 042.50
Passport
1 Copy of Passport – Bio Page
1 Copy of interview confirmation page (First page is fine)
1 Copy of NVC Ready Status with MNL Number (screenshot)

1 SLEC Registration form (If done online)
4pcs 2x2 Passport Photos (Write your name at the back)

After completing the medical, they will hand you the medical packet which you will take to your interview at the embassy. They no longer send it directly to embassy. So technically, you can have your interview even after the day of your medical. The nurse confirmed that for me. Medical is 2 days. I got lucky to complete my medical in just 1 day but I was completely exhausted afterwards. I didn't wanna leave the bed after the vaccine shots. The interview schedule - You can only once reschedule once without paying another MRV fee. The available slots are not consistent. Due to medical results, people are rescheduling and there would be schedule openings once in a while.

3. I also heard that beneficiaries from other countries have to send some documents listed on their Packet 3 to their embassy before they can schedule an interview. Does this apply to us as well? If so, what documents do we need to mail to the embassy? I found a sample Packet 3 letter but it only lists the interview fee, instructions on how to schedule the medical and interview, and the documents you're required to take to the interview.

There is no Packet 3 for MNL. Nothing to email to the embassy. It's all listed out in the USEM website. All of us in this stage have not received a Packet 3. Don't forget the I-134 - it requires original copy with wet signature of your fiance.

If someone could help me out with the next steps, I would be very thankful. 1f642.png

No need to apologize. Omg, I'm sorry. Hahaha. I didn't mean to sound like that. I was just reaaaaally stressing out the fact that you can stay on top of things without waiting for a packet. You get to know what you have to collect and you can complete the things to do in your own time. It really gets quick after getting your MNL number. At this point, you can work on the DS-160. It only asks for your WAC Number. Work on the I-134 too. You'll need the MNL case number when scheduling the interview online. But you do not need any of this number when paying at the bank. And yes, thank you! Goodluck to you too!

Geez, I still do not have a case number from NVC. Everything needs to be super slow for me -_- . DS-160 is ready  I just need the case. Packet 3 is even ready, missing some evidences as I am waiting last minute for phone records and medical (obviously). I just want to  verify that I am giving the right number, the WAC number that is on the NOA2 and is actually the one from NOA1 as well?

I had gotten a bit better after finally being accepted, but NVC process is also taking longer than normal so really grrr...

Sorry, but your post was a little confusing. So you called them last month and you were told to call back when when your case has been untouched for 4 months? And it has been 4 months and you're asking if tou should call them back? I don't know exactly what you asked them and what you want to know now but I assume it's what's up with your case, Am I right?

I see your NOA1 date is January 25. There are still many January filers who haven't received an approval or RFE. There are even some November amd December filers who are still waiting. Some people here contacted their congressman for help so I suggest you do that, too.

Also, the tracker is broken right now so do check your mail often as getting the NOA2 letter seems to be the only way right now to know that you have been approved. You can also call USCIS again and ask for a tier 2 officer to check your case status for you, I guess.

I did ask to talk to someone else who could give me more information he said. No call back in a month

Just call them again and ask for a tier 2 officer you can talk to right away. Tell them you called before and nobody ever called you back. Ask to be transferred right away. Try asking your congressman for help, too, because to be honest, USCIS officers aren't really going to do anything to help you get approved right now. They'll just tell you the same thing they tell everyone else, which is to wait because they're still processing November/December cases. Either ask for your congressman's help, or request to expedite your case (if you have a valid reason to, of course).
