Just wanted to share our experience so far and perhaps give hope to those still awaiting a response.

We receieved our NOA1 on the 17th jan and finally got our NOA2 in the mail on friday (26th May) after being RFEd at the start of the month.

Our RFE came on 3rd May for a reason that was entirely our own fault (even after us both triple checking we still managed to miss something). We sent it back and had confirmation it was received on 12th May.

After waiting almost two weeks I had read the tracker was malfunctioning on here. So my fiancee rang USCIS on Thursday. We were told the RFE hadn't been actioned yet and we had to wait at least 60 days. This was disheartening.

The next day after work my fiancee checked her mail and there it was. The NOA2 notice!!! It was brilliant. It took so long but we finally got there.

My only advice to those still waiting is don't lose hope and take anything you're told about the status of your case with a pinch of salt.

BTW: Our case is still showing as RFE received on the case tracker

Your case have been approved is what you will see on your case status begore you received NOA2.

Hi Everyone! Congratulations to everyone who is approved! For those who received their NOA2 letters in the mail while the online tracker still say "received" or your "REF is received", do your online trackers eventually change to "approved" after you received your NOA2 letter?

Ours has not updated and it's been 11 days since approval..safe to say it's broken!

Tell the truth, don't say anything stupid, and double check that you provide everything they've asked you for. That's pretty much all you need for a successful visa interview!

Hey, I know a lot people already asked and got answers but I will ask again ..

CSC sends our petition to NVC but where can I track it and with what number do I track it?

When should I start calling them for case number?

Sorry and thank you!

Good luck to her and I'm sure she will do fine. Just tell her to make sure she brings all the required documents, dresses professionally, answers honestly, and is confident. I know she's got this! You'll be with her and her son soon! :D

Btw, we finally got our approval. Thanks for your support!

No worries, dear! You can start calling NVC at +1(603) 334-0700 two weeks from your NOA2 date to ask if your case has been received. Once it has, you will be given a case number which you will track here: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx.

Since we have the same NOA2 date, I guess we can start calling around the week of June 5th. :D Most people here report, however, that they got their case number more than 20 days after their NOA2. Well, we can try our luck anyway! :P

Once your case says IN TRANSIT, it means it's on its way to your country, and when it's READY, then the US Embassy in your country has received it and you can now schedule your interview.

Now I have updated my timeline, maybe the mailman will deliver good news on Monday :) Thanks for your suggestion: will make a call on Monday :)

Technically, yes, but since the case tracker is broken, she will not likely see any updates on her case like most of us who were only surprised by our NOA2 in the mail. Been 1 week since we got approved and the case tracker still says "Response to RFE received".

@Emmz If your RFE response was received the week of May 8 or May 15, chances are your NOA2 letter is already on its way to you. My RFE response received date was May 9 and @Hannah96's was May 12 (same week), and we both got our NOA2 on May 22. Just a little more patience, dear! It'll get to ya. ;)
