I know this has been asked multiple times here but can someone pretty please tell me super shortly what are the next steps? Can I just wait until the embassy sends me the packet with documents needed or I schould to call NVC+embassy?

You definitely can wait! I am not planning on doing so, because if you call and track your number you can actually send your packet 3 before even receiving it, but my consulate is Montreal and the packet 3 is available online. This allows me to go a bit faster and wait a bit less for nothing.

The alien number was on my NOA2...but it never got asked.

Does your CEAC case status say 'at NVC' or 'In Transit'?

I used to get the same whenever I called in middle of the day, try calling before 8 and after 3 

  • 01/03/17 --- I-129F mailed to Lewisville, TX
  • 01/04/17 --- Delivered at Dallas lockbox
  • 01/12/17 --- NOA1 text and email 
  • 01/12/17 --- NOA1 date on hard copy notice
  • 04/28/17 --- NOA2 notification
  • 05/16/17 --- NVC received date
  • 05/17/17 --  NVC case # 
  • 05/19/17 --  NVC file on transit
  • 05/22/17 --- Embassy Instructions via email

No I called the"non immigrant" number 603 334 0888.

I am on hold right now.  When I got the Agents busy message i hung up and hit redial and now on indefinite hold.
