Hi there!

I just tried calling NVC, and the gentleman who answered the phone asked for me receipt number (WAC), then asked for my approval number. I explained to him that, that was my reason for calling. That we have not received an approval number from USCIS, after the "case received" status. He said unfortunately, we cannot help without an approval number. I then said, "so you are unable to give us any information with the receipt number?". He responded no and suggested I call USCIS... Was there any other information you gave him besides the WAC #? Any help is appreciated! Thank you :)

When I called nvc, all she asked was my WAC number and my fiancée date of birth and his name. That's all.

Sounds like they might have already realized people are starting to call them instead of USCIS to try their luck and see if they are approved but NOA2 in the mail is taking a while... So they are adding extra filters to the calls. Just my two cents...

Sounds about right. Instead of processing our petitions, they're reading about our irritations resulting from their lack of processing our petitions because they are reading about our irritations about our petitions. 😂

Very Groucho Marx, lol.

Then if that's the case they know we know what are the real processing times and that the case tracker is broken, which is one of the main reasons causing the increase in calls by the 'annoying' love birds. So please, just fix it for everyone's sake :D

I just want to update my petition you guys. Yesterday I posted about the timetable USCIS has on their side, complaining and frustrated about our case still being RECEIVED.

So earlier this morning, i decided to call straight to NVC to ask what is going on with my status (still says RECEIVED on the USCIS case tracker).

( waited 20 minutes before my call got answered )

Him: Good morning sir, how may I help you

Me: Hello sir good morning, my name is bla bla bla and I just want to ask about the status of my petition, here is my receipt number ( WAC )

Him: Okay sir, may I ask who the beneficiary is and what is her date of birth.

Me: ( gave him the info )

Him: Sir, your petition has been sent to Manila Embassy. The embassy will contact her soon.

Me: (shockingly said) WHAT??? My case status still says received though ? Does that mean we are approved?

Him: Sir, you are not only approved. Your case has been sent to the Manila Embassy. In this case, your beneficiary is just waiting for the embassy to contact her with the requirements.

Do you want your case number?

Me: OFCOURSE! Thank you sir.!

( so on and so forth )

So I got the case number and rushed to my laptop, check the status of it ( NVC site ) and it says " Ready " ( ready for interview!!!!!!!!!!!! ).

I was like what the heeeeckkkkkkk ?? So i have been waiting for our approval but our case is ready for an interview.

LOL, im not even mad, it's amazing!!!!

TO ALL THE JANUARY FILERS, THE FIRST THING I RECOMMEND FOR YOU GUYS TO DO IN THE MORNING...

DO NOT CHECK USCIS STATUS TRACKER, DO NOT CHECK YOU MAIL. TRY CALLING NVC RIGHT AWAY!!

PS: January 23, 2017 is my NoA1. Never received a NoA2 hard copy, my WAC receipt never got updated ( Still says RECEIVED )

Hahaha. And assuming "they" are watching us, who is "they" anyway? Do they nominate a worker each day to be the official VJ forum watcher or is it more of a group orientation, where they all sit around a big round table in front of a projector while eating pizza and donuts? 😳

Called NVC after 14 days of a NOA 2 (5/11/17), they still have not received my case from CSC, sounds like they are a bit backed up. I will try to give them a call on Tuesday, hopefully they have something by then.

It took about 19 days for them to receive mine and to give me the case number, but the turn around was really fast and our package was at the embassy within a few days.

I do not have an approval number actually. Only the WAC number that hasn't change. It is all they have asked me up to now. I guess when they receive it and see it in the systems they might ask for the DOB before giving me any information. The only additional info I have is the A number.
