I knooow! Thanks!

Question: did you get your alien number too? We need that for the affidavit of support and it usually shows in your NOA2. For my Embassy you are not allowed to schedule your interview (that you also need to have scheduled before making an appointment for the medical) until after you have sent all the paperwork to them, including the i134...

Ugh! Just overthinking how frustrating is for them not to do things properly. But hey, big news for you :)

NOA2 or even RFE'S I think, show the alien number assigned to the beneficiary. I don't think that's a big thing, but you are supposed to use it on your i134 and don't know if other documents or forms like the DS160. Sorry, not at that stage yet, so playing by ear here a bit.

Well , i know Alien number is Green Card number, I dont use green card because I filed my petition for my fiancee as a Citizen of US. So instead of Alien number, i got my Naturalization number, which is not a problem.

The beneficiary of the i129f (me, by the way), gets assigned an alien number during the process. That's the one I was wondering about :)

I just want to update my petition you guys. Yesterday I posted about the timetable USCIS has on their side, complaining and frustrated about our case still being RECEIVED.

So earlier this morning, i decided to call straight to NVC to ask what is going on with my status (still says RECEIVED on the USCIS case tracker).

( waited 20 minutes before my call got answered )

Him: Good morning sir, how may I help you

Me: Hello sir good morning, my name is bla bla bla and I just want to ask about the status of my petition, here is my receipt number ( WAC )

Him: Okay sir, may I ask who the beneficiary is and what is her date of birth.

Me: ( gave him the info )

Him: Sir, your petition has been sent to Manila Embassy. The embassy will contact her soon.

Me: (shockingly said) WHAT??? My case status still says received though ? Does that mean we are approved?

Him: Sir, you are not only approved. Your case has been sent to the Manila Embassy. In this case, your beneficiary is just waiting for the embassy to contact her with the requirements.

Do you want your case number?

Me: OFCOURSE! Thank you sir.!

( so on and so forth )

So I got the case number and rushed to my laptop, check the status of it ( NVC site ) and it says " Ready " ( ready for interview!!!!!!!!!!!! ).

I was like what the heeeeckkkkkkk ?? So i have been waiting for our approval but our case is ready for an interview.

LOL, im not even mad, it's amazing!!!!

TO ALL THE JANUARY FILERS, THE FIRST THING I RECOMMEND FOR YOU GUYS TO DO IN THE MORNING...

DO NOT CHECK USCIS STATUS TRACKER, DO NOT CHECK YOU MAIL. TRY CALLING NVC RIGHT AWAY!!

PS: January 23, 2017 is my NoA1. Never received a NoA2 hard copy, my WAC receipt never got updated ( Still says RECEIVED )

WOW!!!. Thank you very much for the info @nathantessa. That's an amazing news!. Congratulations for both of you.

I've been waiting for Noa2, me and my fiance has been very stressful lately and we did everything to get new update about our WAC but haven't got any luck yet!.

This info has given us a new hope. So, I will tell my fiance when he wake up to call NVC.

Hopefully we will get the same luck like yours :)

Congratulations to you!! What she's trying to say is the A-Number assigned to your beneficiary, not you. This number is written in the NOA2 paper. For PH, one of the requirements to bring in the interview is the I-134 affidavit of support. You have to fill that form, and it should have the beneficiary's name, A-Number assigned to beneficiary, and other things and mail that original copy to beneficiary with your wet signature, together with your recent 1040 and W2. I don't think it's that critical if you miss writing the ANumber in the form. Or, it can be easily added later as you'll have plenty of time before interview anyway. Watch out for that NOA2 hardcopy. It might not be needed at the interview in MNL but it is needed when adjusting after marrying and asking USCIS for another NOA2 copy is like paying for the petition again.

Anyway, after NVC, steps are now specific to the country embassy. USEM-PH isn't going to send her anything nor call her. Pay the MRV fee, then shedule the interview as soon as you can. Earliest date now is July. Fill up the DS-160 form. Beneficiary has to go through medical at Slec and collect all requirements while waiting for interview date. Follow this guide:

I received my alien number when I got the packet 3 in the mail. They send you a copy of the I-129f with an approved stamp on the top far right hand corner. This will include you're "A" number :)

Though the NOA2 is still a very important document to have, so hope they are more diligent in sending those in a timely manner.

I called the 603 334 0888 number and told them my case number, and she asked if I was getting the number from an approval notice that was sent (which was a bad sign already, meaning she could likely see there was nothing in the system). I said no I did not have an approval notice, and she told me to call USCIS.

Sometimes I think I would rather just be ignorant to what's going on than to know my case is still in received. Oh well, was worth a try.
