First time I'm being active here :)  Petition sent January 19th and received NOA 1 January 23rd. Processing times for USCIS California are 3.5 months and visa journey says it will be around April 23rd (3months). So we hope to get NOA2 in April .. please post if you get NOA2 by the time the visa journey calculated it. The whole process is so nerve wrecking.

Hey Peoples! January 9th Filer here

Even though I found VJ after I submitted our documents, this site has truly been a "god-send" in easing my nerves. :clock: Thank you to all that have contributed to these forums!:energy:

As I learn to exercise patience and looking for ways to be proactive, I believe I have run into a situation that has not been discussed as yet.. :reading:

My fiancé has already gone through a portion of the visa process. He is in the VAC system from December (initially applied for a Visitor's Visa) and therefore has had his picture & fingerprints added to the Santo Domingo Embassy. Can anyone verify, if once we reach the DS-160 application step, will the additional appointment for the fingerprinting, etc. be waived since this information has already been collected?

Any information is greatly appreciated!:help:

Thanx in advance!

I see some of the same problems and missing case numbers:

1. The earliest numbers are in the xxxx165xxx range, e.g. ,:

1790165642        1/12/2017        Your Current Status: Case Was Rejected Because It Was Improperly Filed

1790165741        1/9/2017        Your Current Status: Case Was Received
no low-number cases, including mine, in the xxxx161xxx range

2. If you sort by date, there are earlier dates, starting with 1/3/2017, but the case numbers seem out of range, e.g. ,:

1790170293        1/3/2017        Your Current Status: Case Was Received

1790179918        1/3/2017        Your Current Status: Case Was Received

3. This is true (numbers out of range) for the few December cases, e.g. ,:

1790174766        12/23/2016        Your Current Status: Case Was Received

1790174767        12/23/2016        Your Current Status: Case Was Received

4. And finally there are some clearly wrong dates, e.g.,:

1790197902        3/30/2017        Your Current Status: Document Was Mailed

1790199498        3/30/2017        Your Current Status: Document Was Mailed

I honestly have no clue how to fix it.
Those are the case numbers, and dates the scan script created by Geo produced. I even started my very first scan based on the range of his December case number list which he completed, so in other words the last case number for December was basically the first number I started scanning at.

Hi guys, hope you are all well.

We received our NOA1 on January 12th, so awaiting (hopefully the NOA2).

We have booked our wedding for August 25th, and are quitter nervous that it gets done in time!

has anyone that posted in January received their NOA2 yet? if so do you think it is realistic it can be done by August?

Many thanks

Hi and welcome to the group. We also received NOA1 on January 11th and are planning end of September wedding. There were a surge of filers in December compared to Nov because of people trying to beat the USCIS price increase. However January filers was significantly less so I'm anticipating NOA2 in the next 30-45 days, US Embassy Interview 30 days after that and Visa in hand 2 weeks after interview.. With no RFE's and some luck we're looking at 89 days or June 1st from today.

I've been monitoring the Nov Filers and a few are over 100 days and still no NOA2 although USCIS pretty much shut down between end of Nov through the 2nd week of January so the remaining filers should be processed next week. Fingers crossed and with some luck you should be together in June.

Good luck to the both of you!!!!!

I am sad to see so many being frustrated by the wait, but I know we came into this knowing it was going to be a long wait. All we can do is help everyone keep their eyes on the goal of being with the ones we care for.

Best of luck to everyone.

Going to be attempting to follow in Geo's footsteps for us Jan filers and do scans a few times a week once I have all of the Jan I-129fs sorted, and then once they start making progress on Jan cases I will try to do nightly scans.

This is what I have so far: (excuse the non Jan dates in there)

Hello Sbane. Thank you for taking the time to do the sort for us January filers. I was almost tempted to buy an I-Phone because you're unable to do a detailed sort on USCIS like with an android phone. I'm sure all of of here appreciate your efforts as we continue this journey together,

Your efforts are very much appreciated!!!!!!!

Hi Bito  Yes we are all in this together and the frustration at times of not being with the ones we love is sometimes overwhelming. I have been away from my fiance since returning from the Philippines back in early Jan and am leaving this Thursday to spend 2 weeks for her and complete her CFO together. I see your fiance is also from the Philippines, what part is she from? Rona is from Iloilo and I'm very much looking forward to being together with her on Saturday.

Please stay in touch!!!!!

I'm so jealous you get to go back so soon. Sadly I burned through all of my vacation so I can't go back yet.

Ysa is in a suburb near Manila. I really enjoyed my visit in November. It seems ages already and we look forward to being together again soon.

Have you looked at the advice in the Canada sub-forum?  The US border guards will want proof that you are not planning to stay in the US.  Depending on the border guard, you may need to prove that you have ties to Canada: a rental agreement, mortgage payments, a letter from your employer stating when you plan to return, a letter from someone taking care of your children or pets, etc.  If my fiancé visits me, we are planning to have him bring several pieces of evidence that he plans to return home.

Just wanted to mention that I had zero problems crossing! Only asked me where I was going and who I was seeing, slightly leaned over to look in to my car and sent me on my way. I was a little worried because I was bringing a lot of hand-me-down house items I don't need so they may have thought I was attempting to stay. Thankfully there were no issues! And the 14 hour drive wasn't so bad either, lol. Day 74 of waiting for our approval, fingers crossed for the end of the month.

Enjoy your time with your fiance, safe travels my friend..I know I go back to the philippines on the 15th..Seems like my last visit in November was so long ago. This waiting is driving me crazy but being on this site and seeing others share their experiences has really helped me fight the distance.

It sounds like they were unable to deliver the hard copy of the NOA-1 to the address you provided. In that first email confirmation, you should have been given a case number..you can check the status of that case number online at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

There it says this

On February 24, 2017, the Post Office returned your document to us. We will hold your document for 180 days or until August 23, 2017. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the document to you. If you do not submit an online request by August 23, 2017, we will destroy your document and you will need to file a new Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), with fee. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

We dit that right away, but the messages stays the same. how long do you think that should take

We called them they filled in that online form becasue the site was not working on monday, they sayd we would get an email conformation that they sent it again, but we have not gotten it. i mean last week monday.
