I am just going to ask for any update they can give me and it's been over a week since my congresswoman told me that my case is under review, so I am hoping there's some kind of update 

Hi hi well idk how helpful he was tbh. i thought they had a more detailed insight into whats going on but it seems not. all he said was 'nothing is wrong with your application and the process can take 6 months to approve they have not made a decision on your case yet' --- i find this statement contradictory

 

he also told my fiance that our case is at CSC... so idk if they are using the same BROKEN  system. sighhhhh i am losing my coconut... 

 

i hope she goes home to a positive letter in the mail today.

I got a hold of a really nice officer but sad news for me....they had ordered an RFE yesterday but the person I spoke to isn't allowed to tell me what it's for...it's so frustrating after waiting over 4 months to get an RFE and knowing that it's going to take longer now, until I get the letter in the mail, once they receive it back and then waiting for the approval....I am so disappointed at our system it's unreal

When we provide our receipt number when calling nvc do we include the wac before it?

They are both direct numbers to the non-immigrant line.

 

I believe they offer 2 numbers due to the volume of calls they receive.

had my NOA1 on Jan 23rd and I am still waiting for the NOA2.

 

Should I be panicing? Is there anything I can do? Just wish there was any update at all...

Update: 

 

Our noa2 was dated May 9th and today, exactly two weeks later, I was told that our case has been received by NVC. 

 

They told me it could take 2 weeks for us to be in the system, buy realistically when should I call back for our NVC tracking number?

We were waiting for an update after sending USCIS our RFE a couple weeks ago, and despite having nothing in the mail or any updates online, my partner just received a call back and was informed that our case has been approved since May 19th and our NOA-2 is in the mail!

 

We wouldn't have even considered calling if you hadn't posted, so congratulations to you but more importantly thank you for sharing!

 

For others who have had bad experience calling, perhaps it's just bad luck...but the agent was super helpful, polite, and courteous! Stay positive, stay friendly, and keep trying! ❤
