As far as I know, people receiving approvals and RFE approvals still aren't finding out online, just mail. I would imagine next week should bring good news in the mail!

It goes to the NVC first prior to the embassy. The NVC will receive your case in about 2 or more weeks. On the 14th day the petitioner should inquire about their case to the NVC.

 

 If the NVC has received your case, they will provide you a case number they assigned for your petition. That way you can track your case on the CEAC website under immigrant visa as it will travel via DHL to the consulate.

 

If the NVC has not received your case, try calling back to inquire about your case the very next day even if they tell you  "it can take 6 weeks".

Your timeline says you haven't gone thru the NVC stage yet.

 

From NOA2 to Embassy Receive it took me about 1 month.

Nope, they care about your income based on salary and taxes, they don't care about where you live at. My fiance lives in an income restricted apartment too because he used to qualify with his older job and not moving to save money until I'm there and we can find a place that suits us both :)

Hey January filers. Finally we received our NOA2! The petition was mailed January 19, and NOA1 received January 27. This process is way too long and heart breaking for many. I wish everyone still waiting on that notice to move forward patience and good luck. To those with the green light I wish you smooth sailing. :D
