Is it safe to assume US Embassies in foreign countries don't work the weekends? (Like our government offices/jobs here)  So I won't be able to call in to pay the visa fee and schedule the interview till Monday?  (Can't do it today because today is DS-160 day)

Generally they work Monday through Friday excluding US holidays and the holidays of the country the office is in.

Damn , what i see here they have completely forgotten about Jan 31 dates, barely no one has been touched , then its frustrating to see people from Feb being approved, and wondering what happen to your case,

im at 109 Days now since filling and hopefully get some news soon, me and my fiance have been very patient up to this point but its wearing out.

The dates on these scans go based on the received dates or in the NOA1 Dates?

Thank you for running these scans for everyone!

Remember that there are about 800 approvals missing from this data because it's pulled from the status checker. The Jan. 31 number is lower in reality, but I feel your pain, it's just not low enough.

The dates reflect the date of the last action that was taken. So, for example, the dates for received is when that case was received, before NOA1. Then, another example would be an approval, the date would be the date of the approval. We lose track of the received date when a case moves out of received, but if you find the case in the raw data, many times you can tell where it falls by looking at other cases in received, around it. Hope that makes sense. I would have to create a real database to actually track touched by received date.

Just confirming that my NOA2 came almost 1 week ago as a hardcopy. Still no change on my online status, and I bet I'm not the only one. It's too bad that they won't fix it, or even acknowledge that it is even a problem. So much for transparency. LOL

Fingers crossed! Please update your timeline so other RFE'd people can have an idea how long it took for you to get your NOA2 (once you get it, of course). I checked it and your RFE hasn't been entered yet. :) Would be great if you could enter the date. Will follow your timeline. Thanks!

sure no problem

Questions thanks, What is packet 3? Do the embassy sent it out or who? How do you even start it? Thanks again

I believe packet 3 is from the embassy. It contains the instructions for the interview.

Thank you! No, we haven't received any packets but apparently they don't show up until after the interview is concluded most times. We just found a PDF of the packet online to read all the instructions for the embassy.

I see. Good to know. Thank you and good luck! 😊

Does that mean that 800 cases are still untouched?

Still no noa2 in the mail or online. Have you gotten a response from your congress person? I am thinking about sending a letter/email to my congress person tonight.

@dbmathis , @Antonia & Dian , @aradracing02 , @minkh , We are still waiting, (t's been 124 days for us now ). We contacted the Senator 5 days ago and haven't heard anything from them as well. I pray all of the January files left, will get a result soon!.

I was referring to the approvals that never got logged to the online status checker for people who got approved. My estimate is that there are 800 approvals that SHOULD be in the data that are not. So subtract 800 from the untouched count, and you have a good idea how many Jan files are in received (untouched). This is based on the average daily approval count over the two weeks prior to when the online checker stopped working, which was about 70 approvals per day. My assumption could be dead wrong though. And this is why I have not been publishing data :)

05/05 hard copy NOA2 here, and I just got my case number from NVC.

I called this morning (10am EST) and they confirmed receipt of the case from CSC, but told me that I should give them 2 weeks to assign a number. I'm sure this is the line they give everyone to protect themselves in case of delays, but my advice would be to try again later the same day, or the day after. I gave it 11 hours, called back, and boom - I have what I need to book my medical. Which I intend to do on Monday!

Does anybody know... can I book it for as early as Tuesday if they have appointments available and I have all of my documents? Or do I strictly have to wait until the case reaches the embassy before I can actually attend the medical?

01/18/17 - I-129F mailed to Lewisville, TX

01/25/17 - NOA1

05/05/17 - NOA2 (100 days from NOA1)

05/19/17 - NVC received and case number assigned

05/26/17 - Case left NVC, status 'In Transit'

05/30/17 - Medical

05/31/17 - Consulate received

07/13/17 - Interview, APPROVED!

07/21/17 - Visa in hand

07/22/17 - POE Newark, successful

08/02/17 - Married

08/23/17 - AOS filed (incl. EAD and AP)

08/31/17 - NOA1 date on AOS packet

09/21/17 - Biometrics appt

10/16/17 - Online tracker says 'Ready for Interview'

11/09/17 - EAD and AP approved

11/16/17 - EAD/AP combo card arrived

12/19/17 - Green card interview

12/22/17 - RFE received (medical had been lost)

01/23/18 - Green card in production

If there really are 800 approvals.... then there are not  a lot of untouched jan files left... sigh.... It's been about 125 days since our NOA1 date...

who would have thought I would be one of the unlucky ones that wouldn't get a response until late lol i guess nobody expects or hopes for that. It would really suck if after all this we get an RFE. Although frustrating that we haven't gotten an approval or any response, I supposed I should count my blessing and be thankful that I haven't gotten an RFE or denial either.

I think there is likely only about 200 Jan cases untouched if there are 800 unaccounted for approvals. It's hard to know though, so it could be more. It's just a best guess based on the available data (which is wrong because USCIS does not update the checker, the source of the data)
