Hey! How do you know that CSC received your RFE? They change your status ?? I sent my RFE on may the 4th and my status is still frozen on " we sent you a RFE ", not " we received it". They should received it on may the 9th something like that... I thought my status was still the same because of the huge probleme with notification, but now i'm really worried...

We sent our RFE on 5/10.  On 5/12 our status changed from "we sent you an RFE" to "we received it".  We also had tracking on the package because I didn't trust them to update our status.

  • 01/24/17 --- NOA1 date
  • 05/03/17 --- RFE notification received
  • 05/10/17 --- RFE response sent
  • 05/12/17 --- RFE response received
  • 05/24/17 --- NOA2
  • 06/22/17 --- NVC case number received
  • 06/26/17 --- Package received at RDJ embassy
  • 07/18/17 --- Interview (APPROVED!)
  • 08/05/17 --- Arrival to Minneapolis, MN
  • 09/30/17 --- Married!

I'm wondering if other people have their status frozen like me... I will probably call CSC tomorrow! That's too weird!

Curious to hear how many here (if any) are waiting on an approval having had an RFE returned to USCIS? Not sure how long I should expect to be waiting..

We are still waiting for our approval. They received our RFE response on May 3rd. Still hoping we get approved this week.

Yep, the tracker is not working properly, so don't trust it for real information. They have probably received your response, but if you feel like calling, it could be useful so they know things are messed up with their system. (Well, they should know already because other people told them, but they are quite the incredulous kind or whatever one chooses to call them ).

Thanks for your answer! yes, I hope it's the tracker issue, but who knows, so I ask my fiancé to call them tomorrow ( He tells me " you sure? don't worry, but I will do it if it can relax you"... I know he's on the good way, not me, but I need to know, that's horrible ;) )

I Just called and waited 20 minutes for a representative to tell me "it can take up to six week" we have the same date 🙄

Same response we got the first time we called which was yesterday. I did try today and the lady was very accommodating in giving me the information. She said they just received our papers this morning. ;-)

I just called and they told me the same thing. I'll probably wait until Monday morning to call again.

Hi there ! :)

I received my NOA2 on the 04/28, I started to call the NVC yesterday and they didn't have received my case yet. But when I called again today, they had just received it and they gave me my new case number and Invoice number :)

So once you have the Case number from the NVC, you can begin on the DS-160 and schedule for interview or do you have to wait for packet 3?

If I am right, I think we have to wait that the case tracker shows "Ready" after being received by the embassy of your country !

When it shows "Ready", we can start to file the DS-160 ;)

No.  You have to wait till your embassy receives and processes the package.  You complete and schedule interview after your case number tracking on the CEAC reveals a "READY" status.

Aww, it's okay, dear. It sucks because it's going to delay your NOA2 even more, but at least you know they're already working on your case. Our RFE was that they needed our passport photos, which we included in the petition but they seem to have gotten lost somehow. We sent our response the day after we received the hard copy. Just act quickly and make sure you provide them with what they ask from you. Also, someone must've already answered your question but nope, you'll only find out what your RFE is for once you receive it in the mail. Perhaps you can review the copy of your petition... Maybe you'll find something you missed there.

Anyway, good luck! Hope you get approved soon! :D

do we still need to submit the whole i129f or just the RFE they needed
