It may seem like it, but there's still quite a few Jan folks still waiting. I run the numbers every night, so I can give you a rough estimate of the number of couples not approved.

There are 942 people who are not in received, not rejected, not approved. These include RFE, etc.

Then on May 1st, roughly, USCIS stopped updating the online status checker for approvals. However, before they stopped, we were seeing an average of about 70 approvals per day. Right now I see 991 people in received. So if I multiply the average by 10 days (May 1st - now) I optimistically get 700 approvals. 991 - 700 leaves 291 still in received.

This means there are roughly 1233 Jan filers who are not approved.

Thanks I appreciate it, yea I knew the number was clearly more than a handful I meant people that are actually on this thread lol.. Seems like only a few of us left waiting for NOA2, everyone else seems to have shifted to NVC talk. Hopefully this is our week!

Yes, I see. I have noticed that too. It's a bit depressing and hopeful all at the same time. I am extremely happy for those with approvals though. It's just a matter of time, and let's hope a short time, for the rest of us, :)

Is the 'A' number the case number? They wanted new passport pics (lost ours) and asked us to write name and A number on it which they gave us. They received our pics on May 12th and now I'm waiting for an approval.

Is that the number you need to schedule and appointment for the medical?

No. The number you need for the medical is the Case Number that will be provided when your petition has reached the NVC - National Visa Center. Right after you get NOA2, USCIS will forward your file to NVC. You start calling them after 2 weeks.

The "A" Number is the Alien Registration Number of the beneficiary and you will see this too in the NOA2 approval. You will need this number in the I-134 affidavit as well.

Goodluck to your interview!🙏😊why it takes very long of the schedule of interview almost 45 days more!!🙁

sorry for the late response guys I'm at work but we filed in December they accepted in January and they actually gave us that we could schedule earlier but I intend to be off work for a month and a half so we can travel so we chose the later date so I can get everything taken care of here at work

It's great that you give these numbers be ause it will help people realize that they aren't alone in this journey.

I feel everybody's pain in the waiting process, it makes the hours seem endless, but I assure you it will be worth the wait.  It will be something sweet to talk about to your fiancee *future spouse* when years pass.

May I know when did you contact the congressman after you have been waiting for NOA2? My fiance also mentioned it to me yesterday if we should contact our congressman, but he told me we needed to write a letter and mail to them instead email. I just think if there has email, that helps a lot and much faster to wait a letter. And I also have a question, the city my fiance is living is not the city he born. Is that ok?

For us, it was said either mail or fax. I could not find the right fax number so I called them. It was very painless, I talked to someone right away and they gave me the proper fax number.

Hang in there guys! Remember you are end of the month January. Your NOA1 date is the 2nd of February? so you are even considered February per their standard. Some earlier filer haven't received their things. Hell it took 122 days for me to get my actual notice and actually 110 days from NOA1 date to NOA2 date...I know how painful and depressing it is, but even though it sucks it is kind of "normal". It should arrive very soon though! Just suck to be in the unlucky one that take more time. All this time is lost and we will never get it back! But in the end, in the grand scheme of things it is very little.

Would it be okay if you could share with us what you sent to your congress person? I looked up my congress person and noticed they have an entire section on their website under "services" for "help with federal agencies". Debating on if I should send an email and what I should write.

Yeah I'll send you a PM with my letter :)

I just did the same thing. Wishing you the best!

Hopefully you guys hear something good!

It should almost be automatic that we get updates on our cases from USCIS, it sucks they don't do that. Or after 3 months of waiting they can at least send us a letter telling us what's going on... wishful thinking :D
