I was hoping it was delivered through weekend thats why I called early this morning lol and I am wrong!!  So actually 20 day time frame is more accurate!

Please correct me if I am wrong. The next stage after NOA2, is NVC receive and that takes X amount of days for the receive to happen. The clock for X amount of days starts ticking as soon as they approve the petition, right? So if I get a letter today saying I was approved on 5/8, I am already 7 days into it?

Yes, the clock starts on the Notice Date of your NOA2.

 

So, me for example, got approved Tuesday, April 25th... and 17 days later on Friday, May 12th they received the petition.

They will keep for 3 days then send off to Embassy.

DHL delivery and Embassy Receive of 4-5 days.

 

So from NOA2 to Embassy receive is about 24-25 days.

 

EDIT:

Add in another few days for Embassy processing to the "READY" case status, and it might be 1 month (30 days) between NOA2 and you starting to do stuff finally.

Yes I am.

 

I'm expecting it to leave the NVC by Wednesday and maybe (hoping) it will arrive in Bogota Embassy by Monday of next week.

Highly dependent on the countries embassy backlog.

 

But I do know K1's are treated and scheduled differently then tourist visas and sit in a completely different line.

 

I can't speak for the UK embassy, but through talking with other people who have scheduled in Bogota, Colombia, they saw openings as early as 2 weeks from the day they were scheduling to the first available interview date.

Sent jan 9th and receieved jan 13th for noa1. waiting over 120 days now...

 

This waiting process has taught me the limits of my patience. I am going insane. Checking my mail everyday this week. Hopefully everyone that is from january and still waiting gets their noa2 this week.

This is true. After NVC, best to check trends in your country portal. 

 

PH filers, earliest schedule now is first week of July. Only few slots a day are given for K1. As soon as my ceac status showed "Ready" online (consular received) in May 2, i paid for visa and scheduled it right away. There were open slots then as early as May10. Open slots now are a month out. From time to time, there would be earlier slots available so check the online scheduling regularly for changes. Plan carefully, you can only reschedule once without paying again. Also, unlike some who just waited 16-17 days, I had to wait 21 days from NOA2 to NVC Received. But only 6 Days from NVC to my consulate.

I don't blame anyone for being impatient after waiting hundreds of days. The level of inefficiency over there and in the world, in general, is unacceptable IMO. Then consider what we are waiting for, waiting to see our loved ones again, not some new release on DVD.
