I looked at your timeline & see you also bringing your fiancé to NJ.. I'm from NY bringing my fiancé to NY.. you should be receiving your noa2 one week before me.. can't wait to finish this journey!

Me either! I'm hoping because they made the correction that means someone is looking at our case..and I have been in the November thread and it seems that they are almost done with November and working on Dec so hey you never know! There isn't any specific order to who they process so maybe somebody picked up a January box ?

I Think August is very extreme unless your case is very complicated and your embassy is crazy.

If I understand correctly, after NoA2 maybe 2-3 weeks after you can set up interview. I think the earliest you can have the interview depends solely on the embassy. I think if it is a "High traffic" embassy, as in a country with a lot of people wanting to come to USA, you can expect a 1 month minimum wait before your interview. I think the lower traffic Embassies could be much, much shorter wait time. I could be wrong about that though

Keep in mind, they're only about half way through with the November submissions. I think it's pretty safe to say it will take AT LEAST another month before they even begin working on January submissions. So, I'm expecting around early April they'll get to my file. If I get an RFE (they seem to be giving A LOT of RFEs lately), then NOA2 should be end of April. Another 3 months from NOA2 to interview (this is the average, according to the Statistics page on this site) takes us to the end of July for the interview. Average for Brazil is 49 days from receiving info from NVC to actual interview, as opposed to 56 days global average. Looking at it again, shooting for her arrival in August is a bit on the conservative side, but probably about right.

True, but they have also started working on the first December cases yesterday. Because they dont finish a month before moving on to the next one, people will have slightly different timelines. And yeah, the Embassies have different processing speeds. I think we January filers are looking at an approval timeline of roughly erly june- late august.

Why are you expecting an RFE? Is it just because almost everyone gets one? Or is there some specific issue of which you are aware?

I can't think of a good reason why at this point, but they seem to be giving them out like candy. I'm sure many of the people who got them thought their application was air-tight (free of errors), too.

NOA2 should not be anywhere even close to that late. I also see way different statistics for the time between NOA2 and Interviews. So far in many threads I have seen so far is NOA2 -> 3 weeks -> Interview date set -> 14-40 days until interview -> If Interview approved then 0-10 days for Visa issued.

So if April is the Month for Jan filers NOA2, and there were very little Jan filers compared to Oct/Nov/Dec 2016, then maybe it won't even take all of april to burn through them all. Many Jan filers will be having their interview in May/June

There wasn't that many January filers? Me and my fiancé are pushing for a late September wedding date so as long as he is here before then it doesn't matter! ???

Yeah I meant visa approval dates, not NOA2.

Hi guys !

I'm so glad I found this tread!

My NOA1 date is 01/18, and as many of you I suppose, I am pretty impatient/worried about this timeline thing lol. I really hope they can do something to catch up on all those files...

Welcome to January 2017 filers Alexia! :)

We have the same date of NOA1. Our Noa is on 18th January as well.

I've seen on November filers part 2 information, some early December filers already got their NOA2 or RFE. Hopefully it won't take so long for all of us to get NOA2. Maybe this end of March or early April.

Best of luck!

That's good to know !!

Right now visajourney estimates that my petition will be processed mid April, if it can be earlier I'd be so happy !

Hopefully we don't receive a RFE :)

Good luck to everyone
