You guys....

I just texted my dad to ask if I got any mail. He told me that I did get a letter and he opened it (he's been asking me about the process daily...) and...we were APPROVED! Finally after 140+ days (receive date Dec 19). I'm not sure what date the letter has listed on it, but my dad will send me a photo of the letter later and I will update my timeline.

I'm with my fiancé in Morocco now and he was out at the store when I got the news. Tomorrow is my last day here with him so we will spend the rest of the day celebrating knowing it won't be too long now until we are together forever. Our case is still listed as received online.

Thanks everyone here for your positivity and encouragement. Reading all of your posts here have kept me sane. To those still waiting for NOA2, keep your head up and good luck. :D

Reading this made me so happy!!! You guys have waited so long! Hoping for a speedy poe!

For the ones that got their NOA2 in the mail recently including the E-notification in their petition, did you get a text message or email that you got approved also or only by mail? Congrats to all of you!

I called the USCIS office this morning and asked about my case and got pretty much the same answer you reported. I told them that a lot of people were receiving their approvals through the mail but their statuses weren't changing online and that there must be something wrong with the system.. I got the same BS response that they were working on November petitions and that I still had a while to go..

Right after I hung up, I checked my mail box and received my long-awaited NOA2! ... seriously woman.. #alternativefacts

I'll call back to report this later today

I just want to say congrats to all of the people who were approved, again. You all are great and handled the long wait so well. This for me has been one of the hardest things I have ever experienced, being separated from my fiancee for months, not knowing when or if I will see her again. I am so happy to see that people in the same situation, will, in fact, move closer to seeing that special person in their life, again, soon.

sorry for asking so many questions. this is for those whose fiance is in canada,  but on my noa2 it listed the consulate as ottawa but does it get transferred to the one in Montreal? or do we need to put in the request for Montreal? my fiance put ottawa for the consulate on one of the forms, i just wanted to make sure we are good or if  we need to do something.  thank you! if this doesn't make sense please let me know

Okay so I just called USCIS and after taking down my case # and name he told me my case is still being worked (Received Status).

I proceeded to tell him that I received NOA2 approval in the mail yesterday and his response was it takes 30-45 days for the USCIS website to be updated. When I further pressed the issue stating that until last week ppl here on vj were receiving electronic notification with NOA2 approvals prior to receiving a hard copy in the mail he said that he was only a CSR representative and suggested I speak with their support department in charge of website updates (ELIS).

He transferred my call to an agent with ELIS and after explaining the situation again my call was disconnected.

Go figure, I spent at least 45 minutes on the phone and got absolutely nowhere. I should have asked for the direct number for ELIS and I would have called them back. Not sure if my call was dropped or if I was hung up on.

Yes, this sounds familiar. It's no wonder they don't know it's broken. What's the point of an online notification system if you get notified over a month after your approved (kind of like an air raid siren sounding an hour after the bombs are dropped). Thank you for trying, I really appreciate the effort.

I think the website was disabled because of the sophisticated civilian tracking (akesangel, dbmathis, etc) that has sprouted up scanning their database and essentially tracking their progress. Which they did not like.  The Government is the watcher, they don't like being watched.  So they shut down the updates on the website so they can't be so closely tracked by what they are doing.

It's our fault
