Hi everyone! Congrats to those who got their approvals! I would just like to ask, I already have our NVC MNL number. We started assembling requirements for the interview such as the ds160, forms, police report, birth cer and cenomar? Am i missing something else? Do i simply check after a few days til it says "ready" in the CEAC site?  Then schedule medical and interview? :)

Here is the VJ link that will guide you through each of the next steps of obtaining the VISA

Ladies. Consider wearing white or pink to your interview. This stuff is hard-coded into people's brains. Use this to your advantage.

Should men do the same?

I think so. All of our research has been into what SHE could do to improve approval odds, but the psychology is the same of male or female I would think.

Thanks for the reminder.

When I visited Rona back in March we scheduled to attend the CFO in Cebu during my visit. Unfortunately we missed a very early morning flight and the later flight even though it got us in before noon it took 2 hours to drive from the airport to the CFO office. We were turned away by a very unfriendly guard who told me no "husbands" (I think he meant men) are allowed. So she if going to schedule her CFO when she has her medical in Manila.

I wouldn't recommend anyone flying to Cebu to attend the CFO because the traffic is so bad and their office is very difficult to find. Even though the traffic is bad in Manila at least the CFO office is in a convenient location.

We know your time is coming shortly. It would be awesome if all of could arrange to meet in Manila to meet each other and to witness how happy our brides will be when we collect them and bring them here to the states with us.

You are both in our prayers  that you receive your NOA2 shortly

That means so much to us. Thank you! I am the bride-to-be, by the way. :) My fiance isn't coming here to pick me up because he has school. No breaks til December, and we're hoping to get married around October.

May I know why you were trying to attend the CFO Seminar last year? I read that it is best to attend the seminar once the Filipino beneficiary has his/her visa in hand. If she attends the seminar before she has it, she will have to go back to the CFO office once she has her visa so they can give her the sticker. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read that they won't give the sticker if you don't have your visa yet. You will get the certificate, but not the sticker. It's a hassle to have to go back there just for that, so I'll attend the seminar when I have my visa in hand.

By the way (not sure if you already know this but here it goes anyway :p), they no longer accept walk-ins. Gotta schedule online. http://gcp-appointment.cfo.gov.ph

I was wondering (as a man) If I should wear a shirt etc like if it was a job interview or come it wearing casual clothes (but clean like if you were hanging out with your girlfriend in city).

I mean shirt looks classy but maybe fake ?

casual can be a trap if it's too casual

However that's an interesting stuff that we don't think right now but it will be useful in some weeks.

Just received a letter from USCIS!!!!! Waiting for my partner to call me back so I can open it "with him"!!!! EEEEEEEK

Positive vibes appreciated for it to be a NOA2 and not an RFE! **fingers crossed**

Considering the system works apparently for RFE's, it's likely you are holding in your hands your NOA2. Good luck! :)

Hi. We actually scheduled the CFO in March, my last visit to the Philippines. You are correct that you have to have an approved Visa to get the CFO sticker or you can obtain the sticker at Manila Airport, CFO location at terminal 3 with your certificate before you flight depart for the states. That was our intention.

We knew to schedule our appointment online for our appointment with the CFO in Cebu. You're correct they do not accept "walk in's"

Thanks for the share and good luck!!!!
