Hi! I've been following this forum silently for the past few weeks. Breaking my silence to share some positivity and hopefully help shed some light to what's going on with USCIS.

I just got our NOA2 today. It says my petition was approved on May 05, 2017. :) This was one of the days with little/no movement.

When I checked the status online, it still says that my petition was received on January 27, 2017.

NOA1 - January 27

NOA2 - May 05

I hope a lot more cases has been approved and  status was just not updated online. Hope you all receive good news when you check your mail :)

That is great news! Congrats!

Thank You for update :)  I guess this makes it all that more important to update timelines on VJ as quickly as possible since it seems that VJ is the only reliable electronic source of information. It has been very helpful to see the scans that some are doing but now we will all have to be equally diligent on our parts to keep the information up to date by adjusting our personal timelines.

For sure the online system is broken,  i just finally got to speak to someone useful at USCIS and they said the decision will be received by mail within 7-14 days.

So I guess there's no slowdown in approvals or cases being touched 😂

Hi everyone,

Strong advice to all.... CHECK YOUR MAIL!

My fiancé just called me, supposedly "just to say hi", and then very casually showed me the NOA2 letter that she had picked up from the mailbox this afternoon.

Received: 01/23

NOA1: 01/25

NOA2: 05/05

We're still on 'received' on the case tracker, so we're another point of proof that this is an IT error rather than anything else.

I'm so ridiculously happy right now. I'm flying out there in just over 12 hours, as it's her birthday tomorrow and we had gotten so sad and disheartened by the wait, that I booked this trip to help us keep it together. So I guess we're just going to celebrate this weekend and cry happy tears, instead of being sad together!!!

Updating my timeline right now, and I agree with @AcCel - VJ is currently the only digital information resource, so we need to be as helpful as possible.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR BEING SO FRIENDLY, AND SUPPORTIVE, AND KEEPING ME COMPANY ON THIS CRAZY RIDE. I'll be sticking around for a while yet, through NVC and beyond, and keeping an eye on everyone else who is still waiting.

Oh wow that's freaking amazing news ☺️☺️

How did you get them to inform you of the decision?? i thought they usually just give the standard response of whatever is "official."

what number did you call and which option did you chose to speak with a live person ?

I used their national customer service line which is 1 800 375 5283 and just pressed the options for checking a case until they directed me to an operator.

is there another number i can use to check my case?
