Realistically speaking, how long do y'all think it will take before we get our NO2. My friend filed in August and her fiancé came to the states in mid-November. I don't think we will be a lucky. How do y'all not relieve the stress? Because I feel like my anxiety levels and stress levels are through the roof!

Hello Tiru,  we are all in the same situation here.  We filed the first week in January.  If you have time read the November Filers blog.

USCIS was only processing a few NOA2 or for that matter, K-1 VISA applications during Nov and Dec.  No one has a clear answer why, some have reached out to their congress representative complaining.  Also our fee doubled the end of Dec and the service we're getting in return Sxxxs!!!!  Staying busy helps and Sky-ping my fiance who lives in the Philippines really keeps us connected (thank God there is no charge for airtime otherwise my bill would be $$$'s a month).

On a positive note there were fewer petitioners in Dec and Jan however there are many people ahead of us.  We just need to lean on one another and to try and stay positive.  I like your idea of taking a vacation and not dwelling on this journey we are on.

My first visit with my fiance was over the holidays and I'm returning for another 2 weeks in early March. My guess is everyone's who applied should have their VISA sometime in May early June.

Hope this helps.  This blog has been a tremendous help for me and my fiance.  Feel free to reach out anytime my friend.

Enjoy your trip to Mexico!!!!!!

Realistically I think I might have a visa in hand in June. Thats based on no hard evidence though, so who knows.

I think different people have different coping mechanisms, but I agree with @Maple Leaf that keeping busy has helped me the most. I don't check on our case number daily and try to live life just the way me and my fiance did before we filed for the visa. I go to work normally and go running/to the gym after. FaceTime with him 3x a day, plan my visit to DC in March. Do you have a project that you and your fiance could plan together, and that would take your mind of the waiting game? Wedding planning? Last year me and my fiance ran a half marathon in my home country Finland, and "training for it together" was a lot of fun even though we live in different countries. That made long distance living a little less terrible :)

We will all eventually get the blessed NOA2, and I remain hopeful that our wait will be 2/2,5 months rather than the 3 months that some have been forced to suffer through! Hang in there @TiruRiru09! :)

Hello Tiru,

I think we all feel the same when we apply K1 Visa. It's hard not to think about it but it's the way it is. All we can do is just waiting, but i hope it won't take any longer for all of us to be together with our fiance again.

So, the same like other opinions. I also try to keep myself busy doing my hobby of cooking, visiting places with my friends, Skype with my fiance everyday, making plan for our next meeting and read more positive comments / information from Visa Journey also makes me feel better. My fiance suggested me try not to read pesimis or negative comments or information because he thinks that's not good for my mind.

To be honeest, sometimes I also feel sad or anxiety because it takes so long for me to wait. When it happened, I just say it to my fiance on Skype, sometimes i cry too and it makes him busy to calm me down. And the end, we both laugh again because i feel silly for crying without any reason.. Thanks God i have him. He always try to comfort me even though we have long distance relationship.

Best of luck for all of us here!

We always spend our time remembering the special memories we shared together. The great times we shared but always focus on our future. So many memories yet to be made. So many times I get discouraged and worry about the distance but when that happens, well then I realize why I love this girl so much :-)  We do skype and Viber every morning and every night...Like we say, we start and end our days together....hahaha her sister tells us we are like a call center. It is then I realize how lucky I am. Yeah it is a long journey and the waiting is difficult but OMG it is so worth it for the one you love...So my best wishes to all that await the love of their life...together we can manage the time and support each other

Hey January filers,

Im here to join the party.

We sent our package the second week of January and our NOA1 is dated 1/17/17. We are hoping to have visa in hand sometime in May, but of course you can never be too sure.

I hope it is quicker than that. Maybe, they will start working extra fast and we will get to be with our loves before May! What part of Bosnia is your fiance from?

Do you mean getting NOA2 in April? I dont want to be spoiling the optimism, but since there's still like 50% of November filers who havent received their NOA2 yet, I dont think you'll have the visa in hand that soon :( But NOA2 definitely! Im hoping for a visa in June-ish! :)
