Why not? Could they deny the K1 visa based on that? I know the intention is to marry once you arrive within 90 days, but why can't you tell them your plans? Learning alot on this website that will help along the way, thank you everybody. We hope to get the NOA2 soon 😌

My understanding is yes, you can be denied if you answer wrong, so why risk it?

I have a lawyer hired and he said that some of his clients have failed due to this trick question. True or false is up for you to decide.

If asked, we plan on just saying we have no intent to work or school. Safest.

Hey guys! I've been lurking in here for the past months, I am a January filer (NOA1:Jan 24) and as many others, haven't heard anything yet. My fiancee is actually active military and just got back from deployment but since we are not in a rush, we didn't want to expedite it.
That is until now :D
Seeing how nothing has been happening past 2 weeks, we want to send in an expedite request next week. Does anyone know how we can do that?

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

There is also a military line from what I have heard, but I do not have the number myself.

Ah :/

Me too I wanted to join my fiancée just after getting my Bachelor's Degree (in July) but now it looks complicated with these problems.

I wanted to sign up for a Master's Degree in the USA in September (with a job the week), like that my fiancée and I go to college together, but it looks like our plans are messed up :(

Yeah I hear you! I am almost done with my master (I should be done, but no motivation). I was planning to move this summer and be able to find a real job. Now I am stuck at my part time job, not knowing if I will even be able to make 15hours a week...Maybe I could apply for expedite based on financial loss haha!

I disagree. As I stated the approval noa2 hard copy is rarely ever seen getting mailed out same day as approval. Usually multiple days pass before it is even mailed out as they typically do those things in bundles. I'm not sure why you think there would be anything in the response email that would reveal about an expedite. I never requested an expedite through the congressman office. Expedited can take up to 5 days for approval for the expedite and then 14 days typically or less for case getting  touches after that. Given that I had the inquiry and the expedite request not too far apart it is safe to assume that probably one assisted the other

Because I does not say that your request for expedite was approved, only that your case was. How do you know they do not mail on same day? And how do you know it was indeed approved that very same day? It says it was approved and mailed today, but could have been approved 2 days before.

Hi fellow British dude!

You would think our cases would be fast as the UK isn't a red flag country. I just want them to speed up a little. 😃

Oh stop complaining in the January filers forum about speeding things up. :P LOL

My fiancé and I have waited 118 days now.

so not sure if anyone will know the answer but when it comes to setting up the interview, will they work with you and give you a couple days to choose from or do they have one day you have to be there for?

thanks!

I think it depends on the Consulate you are going to.  I believe for the Philippines you can schedule the day that works for you online.

I'm a 6th Feb noa1. I just read on February filers page that there is maintenance work on case status website again tonight. So case checkers will be down. 😒

I've been checking my case like a crazy man for the last few weeks 😭 trying to stay away from case checker for a while lol 😂

Been are both speculating at this point but I have the experience of following this process since October filers was the main activity. They don't tell you if your expedite is approved. They typically just approve your case really fast. They only inform you if your expedite was not approved or needs more evidence.
