I wonder what the status update " Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means" means? Star Trek transporter?

Another visa was processed and approved perhaps?

I agree with Liina. It sounds like a few people applied for various Visas. That sounds a bit spendy to me but hey... lol

As always dbmathis your results are amazingly detailed. The stat geek in me just went into an analysis coma. 😝

Thanks. I've been trying to refine it over the past few days to keep it simple but detailed enough to see what's going on. I just removed the last 7 days tab, figured "Touched" with all days covers it.

If they continue at the pace they are going, looks like a week into June, most everyone will have their case touch or approved (unless they slip into the dreaded "skipped case" land).

Thanks for all of the congratulations.

As for those who asked. I faxed my Congresswoman last monday. Tuesday I received a response email. Later in the week I called and requested an expedite for an emergent situation. I cited the increased tensions between the US and N Korea, and given my fiancee lives in Japan, it presents a clear and present danger as well as imminent threat to her safety being well within N Koreas missile capability.

Today as I was leaving work I received an email from the same Congresswoman's office stating my Petition was approved yesterday and that yesterday they mailed out my NOA2. Given from what I have seen NOA2s usually don't get mailed out same day. This leads me to believe my case was in fact expedited.

Congratulations!! :)

How this guy answered about the "Congressional Inquiry" from this very old post does make sense then.. Idk. I just found it interesting to read.

Have you logged into the USCIS website to see if the expedite was approved?  That might help us understand what moved your case along.

Got a notification from the app that our RFE response was received today. The waiting game continues. Hope they approve us within 2 weeks. :/

We acted very quickly, so I hope they act as quickly as we did. We've been waiting long enough. Besides, this RFE is basically their fault.

If you take a look at the data I posted last night, focus on the chart for touched versus untouched cases. It looks like (to me) they are consistent with the number of cases that are touched daily. It's true that the number of approvals dropped to nothing for a few days, however, the pattern I think I see is them trying to touch every case. Only 30% of January cases remain untouched. This means we should see the untouched cases shrinking, resulting in us seeing an RFE or approved, soon. Once again this is all based upon an assumption that they are trying to get every case into an untouched state state as quickly as possible.

With good data each day, I hope that we can start seeing the patterns and have a better view of what's going on over there. We can only guess at the end of the day, I think.

What I don't understand is why there are certain people (in December for example) who seem to have just been skipped.

The thing that concerns me after the past week or so, is all of the RFEs that have been sent out. Yes - those cases have now been touched and that's great. However, it still seems that there are next to no approvals. And so as the responses to RFE start to reach CSC, we're kind of all going to be back at square one - another file in a pile of thousands, waiting for approval. It doesn't look like any of the responses to RFE are being looked at yet, and it seems very odd to me that for over a week, there have been less than 30 approvals. I've given up on trying to figure out what's going on over there, but I'm worried.

It's annoying. Seeing some files before and after us got their approval or RFE since two weeks ago while we are still waiting and not knowing when they will touch our file. I check the app everyday and it still the same status. Sigh!.
