I am curious, how could you have gone all route, given that if you try the K3 you are already married and it is kind of hard to go back?

But yeah I am pretty positive the fiancé visa is the best route given a friend of mine that has been married for more than a year now applied for a K3 in August and is still without any news.

Thanks for all of the congratulations.

As for those who asked. I faxed my Congresswoman last monday. Tuesday I received a response email. Later in the week I called and requested an expedite for an emergent situation. I cited the increased tensions between the US and N Korea, and given my fiancee lives in Japan, it presents a clear and present danger as well as imminent threat to her safety being well within N Koreas missile capability.

Today as I was leaving work I received an email from the same Congresswoman's office stating my Petition was approved yesterday and that yesterday they mailed out my NOA2. Given from what I have seen NOA2s usually don't get mailed out same day. This leads me to believe my case was in fact expedited.

Omg im so sorry. Im so wrong.. Yes you are right its K1 and K2. Sorry i was confused.

The approval rate is pretty high! If you have a genuine relationship don't be worried. It is long and the wait is annoying, but in the long run we will be with our loved ones and whoever they come with!

I applied for the fiancé visa 2 years ago, and then got married before the interview, when my husband went to the appointment they found out we were married and refused him the visa , then asked for us to file for  green card , when we filed , while waiting for for my approval we file the k3 , we got a response for the i134 before the k3..... ( because my prior marriage wasn't finalized before we got married) our application was 🙅‍♂️ denied!!! So now that 1st marriage is cleared, we're back to square 1 ..... the fiancé visa!!!

Just to be clear you called USCIS to request the expedite correct? Not your congressman?

Latest stats are up for 5/9.

Some things to note.

  • I had an issue with the tab "Touched All" where I was filtering out touched statuses less than February 2nd. This would have only affected the grand totals of you on this tab only, the first pie chart and if you were looking for January on that tab :). It's fixed now.
  • It looks like they are still doing some sort of catch up for the online status check or they are working late into the night because the grand total for 5/8 yesterday was 87 and today it's 101.

Overall it seemed like a weak day with only 48 cases touched and no approvals (per the online status checker).
