Ive got some great news for everyone. Keep checking your Mailbox. Clearly the case status/Scans are inaccurate.
I got a reply today from my Congressman's office. So either the expedite or the inquiry worked, or both. Note that my case status STILL says Received.

Your case says received on the USCIS website?  When did you receive the approval email?

  • 01/24/17 --- NOA1 date
  • 05/03/17 --- RFE notification received
  • 05/10/17 --- RFE response sent
  • 05/12/17 --- RFE response received
  • 05/24/17 --- NOA2
  • 06/22/17 --- NVC case number received
  • 06/26/17 --- Package received at RDJ embassy

Yes it still says received. I have never received an official approval email from USCIS. I received an email from the same Congressmans office that I did an inquiry through, stating that my case was approved yesterday. This leads me to believe that there are cases that have been approved but are not showing as approved when checked officially. Maybe because approvals are apparently updated manually, perhaps there has been a problem with the staff member(s) who are tasked with doing so.

Wow! Keep us updated when your status changes on the website.  I wonder how many other people have been approved and don't know it yet!!!!!???

CONGRATS!! News we are all waiting to hear! :)

Did you receive notice in the mail already of your approval or is it just something you were told from the Congressman's office?

The scans simply report what that status box thing spits out. If it spits out received even though you are approved, then that's the data we are dealing with. I doubt anyone here expects the USCIS data to be even remotely up-to-date or accurate. We just do the best with what we have.

Congrats on the approval though!!!!!!

It's the standard response.

All it means is that there are still open cases from November.  Which is true.  OPEN, could mean something as simple as waiting for an RFE response to come back in.

While it is the standard response, it seems to maybe mean there are cases in November that are still sitting in received. My scraping supports this assertion. I think the truth is, it's a cluster f over there and the right-hand doesn't know what the left-hand is doing.

For example, I see that all of these from October and November are still sitting in received last time I scraped for those months (if these people are patiently waiting for movement on their case, then it's just sad). There are much more than this in November, I just stopped scanning because, after 30,000 hits to their site, iI thought they might come knocking at my door.

Me too on RFE. At least I would know that they have not lost the case package. :)

Be careful what you wish for. :P We got an RFE due to USCIS losing our passport photos. :( Unnecessary delay. We should've gotten an approval, but instead, we're forced to wait longer because of this. :(

I'll take waiting a few weeks for them to process the RFE than not knowing at all when they are going to look at our application for up to 30 days!!!

I guess I'm still bitter about them losing our photos. It's a very unnecessary RFE on our end. :(

Congrats!

I sent an inquiry on Friday to my congresswoman and they sent me a form to sign yesterday. They're going to send a letter to USCIS...how long did your process take?
