I think we will hear a lot of good news in the next 2 weeks guys, i even have a feeling that some of you are going to get a NAO2 in the mail before your online status gets updated this week. Anybody want to share there wedding plans they made so far to keep the spitits up in times of no news?

We were planning to do our weddding as soon as we can at 1st, but then it would be really hard for our famelys to come because mine lives in the Netherlands and Davids lives all across america and in the Phillpines.  so we have changerd our mind and instead of doing a fast wedding for USCIS we disided to scedual our wedding on november 25 and make it our wedding again. They have taken such a big part of our lives already and we were no teven looking forward to our wedding anymore we got to a point were we just wanted to get it done so we can be together.
But now that we have a date, most of our famelys can get time of and come, and instead were going to take a few more holledays together to fill up the months untill november. David is comming to the Netherlands next week. then we are going to take a vacation together in Praque ( my faforite city in europe). that all of te US here ith a european spouse should consider. you can get a tiket for 100-150 euro from any country in the EU and for 700-1000 euro you will be pampered in a 4 start hotel for a week.
Then next month i am going to take a trip to the US (even though im super nervous about getting sent away. We feel good bout taking charge of our situation again. :-D
we are ging to pick out our wedding rings together next week, super exited about that !!
I hope this inspires some of you to do something funn for yourselfs to and forgt about the world that evolves around the K! for even a day <3<3

I love that you guys have plans that are more or less set in stone!

We don't have a date set since we don't know when the visa will be finished. When we started this we were hoping to be together in the US by the end of May/beginning of June (lol). But, as that is looking extremely unlikely, we are planning to just go to the courthouse and then have a small get together at home once he has had some time to adjust.

It is extremely hard to get visitor visas from Bosnia so none of his family would be able to come anyway and I felt silly having a big wedding with just my friends and family.

we have started looking at wedding bands aswell which is so fun!

Im so jealous of all the time you will get to spend with your fiance in the coming weeks/months. I am waiting to buy my ticket to go see mine until we have an inteview date so that we can hopefully fly back to the US together.

When we got engaged we already had our date...Today, May 8th. After some bad advices and being told the processing time to have visa in hand (or we misunderstood, but still we told our lawyer our planned date), we were told to apply at the beginning of January, so right now well we do not really feel like planning another wedding. Invites were sent, everything was ready. My fiancé even has some friends from UK in town as they couldn't change their flight. We will see how we feel when we get our approval and have a better idea of a timeframe. He lives in Nevada so we really so not want a summer wedding, but all our birthdays are at the end of November, so we really wanted a wedding that would be at another time of the year. We are thinking getting married on our second date of choice at the beginning of August if it works out, and having a big party for everyone to attend later in the summer when it is not as hot. At the end of the day, there is nothing we want more than being married.

It is sad indeed, but we have been over it for a couple months...It took some time, but now we are in peace with it. When we decided to postpone everything because we hadn't gotten approval around March and figured out it would be too tight. This really helped with the stress, before it was so stressful not to know and to hope.

Now we just wait, it sucks but not as stressful.

Believe me for the adjustment of status I will spare de 2000$ and do it myself! I have learnt so much since then. By the time you provide the lawyer everything they need you already did 3/4 of the work! Why bother having someone fill in the paperwork? Oh well at the time I didn't have time, nor did my fiancé. We figured it was safer, now we know more and better. And the AOS is not as stressful to us as we will already be together and that is why we really wanted the first part done by a lawyer, hoping it would go faster...She also sent the paperworks 2 days later than what we wanted, it has been a real hassle. That is one advice I could give to people, just do it yourself (especially if you are well organized).

I see your consulate is Montreal.  Isn't the Montreal consulate really slow compared to others? Average time from receive petition to Visa issue from Montreal consulate is over 90 days.  And if you are still waiting on NOA2, August might be out of the question.  Not trying to be a Debbie downer, but just be careful with your expectations.  Definitely, as you said, don't plan anything right now.  I didn't plan anything for my wedding because I knew this was going to take forever and it would be impossible to plan a wedding when everything is out of your control.  Hopefully you can get your NOA2 soon.  That wait was horrendous :(

Thanks. I just ran a scan and it looks like another day of zero processing of January cases over there. Ugh. Hopefully, they do something later today.

Was it significant progress or the 1-2 RFE we have seen the last week?

It's hard to say. I will run it a few more times throughout the day and see. Was in the process of getting everything setup. Could very well just be a mistake on my end, wich would mean USCIS still may not have processed any cases. They are some annoying people for sure, keeping us all in the dark, making us resort to scraping data.

Hi. I'm a Feb filer but commenting on this forum as it seems to be more active. Just a question for some advice. What do you do if the app you met on has now closed down. Met my fiance through the social media app called Fling - Message the world, back in 2015. But it's closed down now due to people misusing it.

There's lots of websites saying the app got closed down. I'm just worried in case they ask for more info on the app we met as they seem to have for other people.

PS. I'm a huge worrier and drive myself insane with worry sometimes lol.

Confirmed. I am seeing RFE movement into 5/4/17 and 5/5/17. I know there were no 5/5 dates in my data last week or over the weekend. This means that there was a delay in cases being entered into online status. Now I'm hoping we see a backlog of approvals hit during today or tonight. I have my fingers, arms, legs, toes and eyes crossed. :)

Where do you scan please?
