but i think you mean a you submitted a new package and got a new number for that. or dit the rejection have a new number? and the new petition?

I think maybe im understood the question wrong.

We received a receipt number for the original package that was rejected and returned to us due to incorrect filing fee. Once we received the original package back, we then resent the same package that was returned to us back to USCIS along with the correct filing fee and we received a new receipt number via text/email stating that our package was received and sent to California for processing. A few days later my fiancé received the hard copy NOA1 with the new number. So we in fact received two numbers, the second one is our official receipt number as our petition is now in the processing/waiting stage in California.

Has anyone who filed in January heard anything? My case status still says the same thing from back in Jan. after I received my NOA1.

Hi @Amy Allaire,

You're not the only one who's still waiting. There's 50% of January filers who already got Noa2 or RFE from USCIS/ CSC, and 50% of January files are still untouched.

For more information about how many cases approved, how many RFE and how many cases are untouched, you can have a look on the last update scan from @dbmathis

Below is the link to the Google Drive folder where I will be putting my scanned data and analysis at the end of each business day. The scan takes about 30 minutes and then another few minutes to move into Google Drive. Expect to see new data around 11 PM Central Time (12 AM Eastern).

I don't want anyone volunteering to be backups because 1) I am mainly doing this for myself so that I am not dependant on anyone else, 2) I trust my own work better than anyone else's, 3) I am doing this for fun because I am bored and waiting for USCIS (so if others were doing this, I would not have fun doing it myself) and 4) I see my effort as a backup to what others are already doing.

What I will be uploading is my own creation, from scratch, so it will not resemble the format of what others have been posting.

Hello all,

first time poster here. My case was received January 30th and the notice date was February 1st so I fall in between January and February filers. I've looked at data from both pages and haven't found my number on either, is this something to be concerned about? As of last I checked, the uscis tracking shows the same thing it did three months ago stating that my case was received. Like all of you here I'm growing impatient, tired and worrisome.

We are all in the same boat, mostly, regarding the waiting. Some have been waiting since November, it seems.

Yeah, looks like they finished it on the 3rd and then have to move petitions afterward (whatever all of that means).

We received our RFE in the mail today. We were notified of the RFE 5/3 and received in the mail 5/6. Pretty quick.

They are requesting 2 items:

1) translating a document. (Easy, we've got that covered.)

2) They want more details behind how we met online.  All we stated on the application was "we met online".

What detail did you all provide for this?

  • 01/24/17 --- NOA1 date
  • 05/03/17 --- RFE notification received
  • 05/10/17 --- RFE response sent
  • 05/12/17 --- RFE response received
  • 05/24/17 --- NOA2
  • 06/22/17 --- NVC case number received
  • 06/26/17 --- Package received at RDJ embassy
  • 07/18/17 --- Interview (APPROVED!)
  • 08/05/17 --- Arrival to Minneapolis, MN
  • 09/30/17 --- Married!

we met online plying games, we submitted a letter telling the story when and how we met and wat games we played, and when we started falling in love and talking about meeting (was about half a page),

then we added pictures of our game history and gifts we sent eachother on steam.
