EDIT: Eh, my fiance didn't tell me the requirements are on the letter after all. It's so weird though, our photos were correct. Now I wonder if they didn't see the photos. Maybe they got lost or maybe the person assigned to our case just didn't see them. Nowhere in the letter does it say we need to retake our photos, just that we need to send them.

The photo's probably got lost. 

Here is the passport photo requirement per USCIS I-129F Filing instructions, page 5 Item 9, https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf 

 

"You must submit one color passport-style photograph of yourself and one color passport-style photograph of the beneficiary taken within 30 days of filing this petition. The photos must have a white to off-white background, be printed on thin paper with a glossy finish, and be unmounted and unretouched. The color passport-style photos must be 2 by 2 inches. The photos must be in color with full face, frontal view on a white to off-white background. Head height should measure 1 to 1 3/8 inches from top of hair to bottom of chin, and eye height is between 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 inches from bottom of photo. Your head must be bare unless you are wearing headwear as required by a religious denomination of which you are a member. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and A-Number (if any) on the back of the photo."

Thanks. This is the exact same guide we followed. I guess they did lose our photos. 

 

What an unnecessary delay. We did complete everything, after all, they just lost our photos. I was expecting an RFE due to meeting on OkCupid, but I guess this one is a lot easier. Going to get my photos taken today so I can send it to him ASAP.

Like the frustration level couldn't get much higher.....to receive an RFE on photo's you already submitted???? Gezz I feel both of your pain. Just resend them the new photo's, hopefully you have extra copies of your fiance with you otherwise she is going to have to courier a copy to you. Suggestion. I'd strongly recommend having a dozen passport photo's made of her and you. Your both going to need them for your interview and possibly other documents required in her country.

The good news is at least USCIS has reviewed your case and after submitting the photo's  you should receive your NOA2.

Hi friends! I used this website to get our K-1Petition done (we filed without an immigration lawyer) and was recently redirected here. Glad to see there is a community going through this together. I've been reading through the forum and happy to see the comradery.

 

My question is on the processing times listed on this website. It says they are now processing CSC: January 25th, 2017 petitions. What is this date regarding? The NOA1 receipt date??

I know, right? I'm actually the beneficiary. My fiance on the US is having a temper tantrum right now because of this,blaming USCIS for losing our photos. We sent them 3 copies each. We have extra ones but we will just take new ones since the requirement is the photos must be less than thirty days old. 

 

Yeah, happy they reviewed our case at least. Hope we get the approval soon. Thanks a lot for your help! I wish for you to get your NOA2 before the week ends!

So after 101 days, we received an RFE

I hope it's just some stupid checkbox we forgot to fill in. Otherwise I have no idea how I could send documents from Iran to my fiancé . 

But hey I'm glad they touched our case. We'll figure out something. 

How many days does it take to receive the letter?

I hope everyone receives an answer this week. We all deserve to know what's going on. Thank you for your support.

It depends how far you are from CSC, I guess, because my fiance received ours after 3 working days from the RFE date on the app. He lives in CA.

 

RFE date: Apr 28

RFE received: May 3

I got my rfe on 4/18 and sent it overnight on4/25 , every day I wake up hoping tonight is the night that I get my approval email ughhhhh🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

yeah I was really busy today ... our case reached the embassy and changed to ready yesterday ... So I've sent the DS-160 yesterday late and today the K1/K2 application plus paid the fees. Today our case was touched again at the embassy so I hope they sent out the letter for packet 3 now.

I have all ready sitting here to send it and just waiting for the letter to arrive. Same day my packet will be on the way to the embassy ... if all goes, we could have the interview in about 4 weeks. Fingers crossed!
