After your case status changed to 'RFE' how long did it take until you guys got the letter with the instructions in the mail?

Our RFE date was April 14 our case was updated end of day so the mail was probably sent out the day after. My fiancee received it April 22 Saturday. My fiancee sent the file back that same day and they received it April 26 Wednesday. Patiently waiting for the decision which I've heard takes an average of 2 weeks.

NOA1 was 25th Jan, received 23rd.

I know that we're waaaayyy later than a lot of other people who are waiting from early Jan, or even November and December, but my fiancé and I are getting pretty desperate for the move to happen for various reasons that I won't bore everyone with. Everyone is in the same boat here, I know, but this is the only place I can really vent to people who know what this thing feels like.

I hope everyone gets some good news soon, and that CSC gets back to those pretty high levels of work today!

Fingers crossed that you get approved today! My NOA 1 - feb 3rd ... I will be tellin u congrats tonight

Same here. There are at least three things going on in our lives that are time sensitive and could potentially delay the immigration for years if we don't get an approval soon. Once she enters the US we will have some time to work with and a chance to regroup. I can only imagine that countless immigrations fail because of the slowness of the process. Good luck with it all, hope the approval comes soon and it all works out.

Alright, thank you. My fiancé will visit me in Germany and flies out on Sunday so I hope we get it before. I updated Monday and case status said 'on May 1st we sent out ..' and I want to know what the hell they want 😑

If you don't receive it before he leaves mybe you could get  trusted friend open the mail for you so you could start working on it right away.

That's awesome then. Have his parents open the file, scan the docs and email to you instead of mailing the USCIS packet itself.

RFE status on Apr 28. Received the mail today. Our RFE is about our passport photos, which is weird because we followed the passport photos requirements to the T... unless my source is outdated. Anyway, we will work on this right away. Can anyone give me the passport photo requirements or link me to a page that shows it? I just want to make sure we are doing it right this time. Thanks!

EDIT: Eh, my fiance didn't tell me the requirements are on the letter after all. It's so weird though, our photos were correct. Now I wonder if they didn't see the photos. Maybe they got lost or maybe the person assigned to our case just didn't see them. Nowhere in the letter does it say we need to retake our photos, just that we need to send them.
