I heard that there are still a few November folks sitting in received. Does anyone here have information on why a case would sit so long without being looked at? Do lawyer filed cases go quicker than others or perhaps the cases are train wrecks that can't be outright rejected so the workers avoid them or maybe both the case and the person who submitted are MIA? I can't help but wonder.

We both are in the same boat, I really hope we both hear something, just sucks that we got unlucky with our date :(

Possible answers...

1. It fell off the desk and hasnt yet been found under the desk

2. It was in a pile of petitions which were all really complex and slowed the whole process down

3. The  officer went on leave and the remaining applications assigned to him / her are waiting until they return

4. Assigned to the newest officer

5?

😎

5. On a routine expedition. Met the greatest earthquake ever known. High on the rapids It struck its tiny raft (insert screams here). And plunged it down a thousand feet below. To the Land of the Lost.

Raw data (current day's sheet labeled with green)https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wcm8Lb7gtd36ERFfjWE05fUyyzzUXD6q2ngE-apbuCo/edit?usp=sharing

May I make a suggestion?

Would you kindly share how you are able to download this information off the USCIS website? I have proposed this question before and offered to be a back up for Jan Filers to run the scans and did not received a response.

I don't understand why sharing this information is such a secret? Is there some requirement you need to meet or pass to be given this privileged information? This information is nowhere to be found on the internet.

We are all anxiously awaiting Fridays scans and maybe your too busy with more important matters that need your attention this weekend. My point is whoever has the responsibility of running the scans should be posting this information the following day. When their too busy the (designated) back up person can post the scans in their place.

Also the designated back up person would be trained to take over this responsibility when the current primary person obtains their NOA2 so they can move on to the next step with an easy transition.

Please don't get me wrong. We are ALL very appreciative of the time you take from your schedule to post the scans. I'm offering a solution to have a back up person that knows how to run the scans in your place so when life gets busy and you are unable to post the scans the next day I can offer to be your back up.

Your're welcome to PM me with the instructions or in the alternative you are welcome to designate someone else. Just let us know who that person is going to be.

Thank you!!!!!

I'm not sure what they are doing, but I started writing my own script to pull in the data, which was working fine today until USCIS temp banned my IP for hammering their site.  I am planning to work on it some more and write some additional code to ease off a bit, once that I see that they have unbanned me. It may be a secret for the reason I just gave, which is that it might require a certain skill set to pull off without having the government knocking at your door.

Thanks for your quick response.

So to your point if you had the script to run the data you wouldn't have to re-invent the wheel trying to download the data when someone ahead of us has the knowledge and already did the leg work. I get it that if too many people are tapping into the USCIS website it may crash or worse you could be banned from using the website.

I believe if you have the script and with some training this is not a difficult task. On the other hand if no one is willing to share how to accomplish how to download the data your walking in the dark, especially if your not an IT expert as I am not.

Hopefully @glmg21 will respond to my post. Maybe since you have an interest in knowing how to do this you can be the designated back up. I know you proposed this question a while back were you able to get a response from anyone?

It depends on what all is involved regarding being a backup. If it requires 4 hours a day, for example, I have a demanding job, and kids. If it's just a matter of having the IT knowledge to run the stuff and it only takes a few minutes each day, then sure, assuming someone needs my help. Much of the data stuff I do, I just do it to make the time go by quicker while I wait in limbo, not knowing if I will see my fiancee again. The data interests me too, knowing roughly when I might see case movement, but to a lesser extent.

From what I understood the scan runs on its own but it might take a few hours to be ran. I remember Akesangel would post saying the scan was being ran and then post the scan hours later.

That makes sense, because I ran mine too quick, and it got me banned.

Here's what I know. I started with receipt number WAC1790140000 (which is NOA1 December cases) up to around where my case is WAC1790196500. As you can see, that's something like 50000+ cases (not all K1). Ideally, the scan needs to be smart, using a SQL database to store and skip pinging the site for approved, etc. Then, for the scan of the received, it needs to be throttled way back. It should be clear now why it might take a few hours to scan.

If it's an automatic thing, then it sounds like it's just a matter of having access to the scan results.

The detailed information is available on how to run the scans if they are willing to share it with you.

My point is there should be someone appointed and trained how to run the scans that would make sense for our entire group and be able to help out when the primary person designated to run the scans is tied up.

This just makes sense in my opinion.
