This is getting ridiculous. Im happy for everyone who has had their case touched, but I cannot help but be bitter when I see people who filed after us getting their approvals.

Know exactly how you feel! I've been feeling so discouraged and even more so now that's it's Friday and nothing, we're a Jan 20th received date...it sucks being so far away from your fiancé and especially with the time difference it's so hard! My fiancé is in Bulgaria and it's a 10 hour difference, we still talk every day for a few hours but it's not the same...wish they worked in order and were fair but I guess we have to wait next week!

Your case status is "documents returned"? What does that mean?

It means that they tried to deliver our nao1 one but were not able to. and we had to reconferm our adress. but even after doing that our status was never updated and we never got our nao1.

But when we call they just tell us that they took notice of it and we don't need the nao1, and just to wait for an RFE or nao2.

This is what that looks like

Document Was Returned To USCIS

On February 24, 2017, the Post Office returned your document to us. We will hold your document for 180 days or until August 23, 2017. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the document to you. If you do not submit an online request by August 23, 2017, we will destroy your document and you will need to file a new Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), with fee. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I'm going to take a break from Visa Journey for a bit. The pain of seeing others getting there approvals even though they have waited less time is tearing us apart. 106 days of torture!!!! Good luck everyone.

Congrats to all yesterdays approvals!

Quick question to anyone that may know..... but does anyone know if we will get some sort of notification of when the NVC receives the petition?  Reason I ask is for VJ timeline purposes.  Next date data entry is "NVC Receive Date" but was unsure how I find that out?  Through calling them?  Or will I get a notification/mail/something?

Thank you.

I was wondering this as well, I called the nvc about three weeks after my noa2 (approval) to see if they had received it. The woman said that they did and will forward it to the embassy and to wait basically for I believe a letter or intructions of some sort.

Anyone have any USCIS poems? Maybe a mixture of despair and humor? ;)

It's bittersweet to be on VJ to see all the ones who received there NOA 2 today, congratulations to all those that received it!

Hitting 109 days since received date and 106 days since NOA 1, can't believe Monday will be hitting May... I was really hoping for my fiance to get here in July, but now I don't even know if that's possible.  :(

Hi guys has anyone that has been approved in April heard from the nvc yet? Our noa2 was on April 4th but still haven't heard? The letter says it can take up to 30 days but can anyone help?

Thanks

Not sure if someone answered you already. But did you call them? Letter might take too long so better to call and ask. There's a good chance they got it.
