Getting this data is both depressing and up lifting at the same time. 1/17 was a big group of apps and seeing those who have received their NOA2 is like how a tornado bounces around a neighborhood. Neighbors on both sides gets theirs and Ysa and I remain untouched. Lol. 😜This is the hardest thing I have done in a long time. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

I hope so too! Do you know how many January 19th cases are left?

I did a search through the data for April 27 and I counted 39 untouched cases for received date of January 19.

Are there any 'received January 19th' filers here? They're touching cases before and after the 19th but ignoring our date. I just want to go to that office and show them how they're supposed to work on stuff like that. Who starts with working on mid January and then continues with the beginning and then touches some February cases 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Assuming we are dealing with only one service center.

For simplicity's sake let's just assume there are 1000 cases and only 10 people employed to process all 1000 in one month. It's safe to assume that one person is not going to handle all 1000.

Assuming a sequential movement through the petitions, I think the best case scenario, for the scenario I created above, is they give each person 100 petitions each, and they do it in a way that each of the 10 has petitions from the beginning of the month, the middle of the month and the end of the month.

Maybe some of the 10 are higher performers and pull ahead and finish before others. Meaning that petitions from later get approved before earlier petitions.

But we are not dealing with one service center. So add that to the hypothetical problem above.

What they COULD do, theoretically, is have one main center that processes incoming petitions. The receipt numbers would be entered (ordered by date received) into a master database that's shared across all service centers. All documents would be scanned electronically into a database and linked to each receipt number in the master database. Only valid petitions make it into the database. The people processing the incoming would immediately reject any petitions that had incorrect fees, etc. Then, nobody has a "stack" on their desk. Then, when any worker at any service center finished the petition they were working on, they would query this master database for the next petition in line. This way there never would be a situation where someone who got a receipt at the end of the month gets movement before someone at the end. There would still be situations where an RFE delays a person and causes someone who got a receipt at the end of the month to get APPROVED before someone at the end, but that's acceptable! haha.

My two cents worth because I don't have anything else to do, other than this 70-hour coding project that needs to be finished in 3 days. :). It's just that I am tired of waiting and this stuff goes around in my head.

I love the way your mind thinks. I can tell that you think logically (which is not what the government does very well...lol). Anyway, good luck on your case. I hope you all are approved soon.  I'm a February filer, am I'm waiting patiently.  Also, I hope you finish your coding project. Thanks :). I used to live in Atlanta (well in Villa Rica right outside of Atlanta). Grew up in Chattanooga. I miss that area, the mountains, the seasons. Looks like Hahira is closer the southern border, though. Good luck on your approval too.

Congrats to all yesterdays approvals!

Quick question to anyone that may know..... but does anyone know if we will get some sort of notification of when the NVC receives the petition?  Reason I ask is for VJ timeline purposes.  Next date data entry is "NVC Receive Date" but was unsure how I find that out?  Through calling them?  Or will I get a notification/mail/something?

Thank you.
