Hi All, 

 

I just wanted to give you an update. NVC received our case yesterday (nearly 3 weeks after NOA2) and they assigned the case number on the same day. We have been told to call back on Friday to confirm its transit date for the UK embassy but we were advised on the phone that it usually takes 1-10 days to get to London once NVC have received it. Everyone we have spoke to at NVC has been really helpful, so just wanted to let you guys know in case anybody has a similar timeline to ours and is also going to be going to the UK embassy for their interview! 

 

Congratulations to everyone that has got their NOA2 and for those who haven't I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you - I know it feels like it will never happen but just hang in there - this is the worst part and it's nearly over!!

We Jan 10 filers know how you feel,  a lot of our cases are left untouched.  I hope we all will hear some movement within these next couple of weeks.

Was talking to my fiancee on the phone and we hung up to eat dinner.  I decided to check before cooking, and saw that we were approved.  I called her back right away and we were both so happy.  We already had a visit planned--I'm going to see her and her daughter for a week starting this Saturday--so, this was great start to our upcoming time together.

 

Good luck to all of those still waiting, and congratulations to everyone who got updates.  Though I haven't posted much, I've enjoyed reading everyone's stories and their posts when they get approved.  Reading the excitement of others since I have found this site had made the waiting a little better, knowing that that was the feeling that I had been waiting for, too.

 

Now that this part of waiting is over, I'm looking forward to spending a week with the ones that I love, then moving on to the next step of the process.

Both us Colombia filers got approved on the same day

 

I'm also going to Colombia this weekend to see my fiance!    Friday night flying out of Miami.  Where abouts in Colombia do you go?  My fiance lives right there in Bogota.  City of 9 million people and terrible traffic.

Was this for yesterday's results?  It still lists my number as "Case Received" even though I got my approval yesterday.
