Save check for SSN

Hello all                                                         I would like to ask you for help. Beginning of August 2016 I applied at local SSA for new  SSC without restrictions ( got green card through the marriage). They send my info for Save check and nothing happened since that day. I went to check online and my case saying returned to agency. I called few times Maryland SSA and visited local office, they all saying-dont worry, they are waiting for verification.!?? Do you have any advice what to do? Thank you for your help.

I was in your situation... but you've waited much longer. .. I applied Oct 28th and got the card issued Dec 23rd..

The lady kept sending them out for me lol she said she didn't trust usps...

I emailed CBP,  but everything was in order on their part and I guess that's a non-issue for you since you have the green card...

I also had an infopass about it but he told me I had to wait for my EAD which ofc isn't true... he gave me a number to call that he said was for applicants, which was also wrong it was the number that the agencies call.. there is no number for applicants.. I called uscis and tried to find out if there was ANY place at all where I could inquire and there was not  ... ridiculous... finally the paperwork just came through.

Did you ask the SSO to call the toll free number that they have for uscis? If not that's smth you can do... also I think this whole thing could have been avoided for me cause I read a lot about how SAVE works during this time. The SSO lady went straight from level 1 check  (directly on comp.) to level 3 check (snail mail and processing at uscis). She could have done lvl 2 which takes usually a few business days and is also done electronically. During level 2 check they can scan and upload scans of your immigration documents directly to uscis and they take 2-5 days to check it manually and return a result through the SAVE system inquiry. I guess you could ask them about that.  Most DMV's do this when they check against SAVE. If they won't help you at this SSO then maybe you can go and ask at another office if they will do it this way.

Or keep waiting... :/
