I'm not in a hurry for citizenship...

My greencard says

resident since 03/04/2004 so I suppose in 03/04/2007 I am able to apply...

but I think I will wait for my I-751 to be approved and all...and just be able to breath for a while

for the rest of this year without worrying with applications...

I want to file in the begining of 2008...

it will be good since my passport expires in october of 2008...

by the time it expires I will probably have citizenship and I will get a US passport...

so this is what I have planned..

I think everything will fall in place...

I think the real question is, "Why wait?" What is the incentive to delay applying as soon as one is eligible?

Before someone answers, "money", I will point out that has literally years to "save up" for the fee.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

Nothing wrong with that!!! I did not serve inthe Marines, but performed nearly 15 yrs of Military service in canada, loved it all. Many people forget that soo many soldiers have given up their lives for others.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
