Has anyone received 2 Transfer notices with AOS apps? The first mail notice was back in Sept 05 that my application was sent to California Service Center for processing. Today I received another notice in mail which said application was transferred to Chicago because the record indicates that office has jurisdiction over the case and the Chicago office will notify me of subsequent action taken on this case. Also The online status reads like this:

Receipt Number: MSCxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On March 13, 2006, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER for processing. That office has jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to receive information about local office processing times.

I don't know what to make of this. Has anyone had similar notifications and what should I expect? I am getting very frustrated I originally filed in NYC in Oct 2002.

Thanks in advance for any info.

My application has been sent to CSC on Feb 24th and it has been received yesterday at CSC.. So.. i dunno.. I hope i don't get bounced around either :P

Feb 2005 - APPROVED for K1 Visa

June - 2005 - Moved to the USA =)

Apr - 2006 - APPROVED AOS Without Interview!!

Feb - 2008 - REMOVAL of conditions!!!!!

02/20/2008 - Package was sent to TSC.

02/25/2008 - Package confirmed received at TSC.

July 3, 2006 emailed CSC again, no response given in the allotted 60 days time frame.

July 27, 2006 received a response from CSC, another response will be given in 30 days.. ha ha ha.

Aug 21 2006 touched

Sept 29 2006 3rd year Anniversay

October 13, 2006 Immigration Interview - Need to return with Long Form Birth Certificate

October 13, 2006 Long Form Birth Cert ordered with expediated shipping

October 18, 2006 Birth Cert Received

October 19, 2006 2nd Immigration Interview - APPROVED

5-20 business days for the Green Card to arrive, maybe I'll be back to see my family before Christmas?

We are with you Peter, got notice on 24th that case was sent to CSC, got email last night that CSC received. I was worried they lost the darn thing. Hoping for speedy approval and not bounced back

02/23/03 - We find each other in Beijing

10/20/05 - Interview passed

04/07/06 - AOS approved, without interview

04/07/08 - 10 year card production ordered, no interview

12/27/08 - Filed N-400 to NSC

01/29/09 - Biometrics appt

04/20/09 - Interview Passed !

Interesting. Perhaps California is now saturated and not able to take any more cases, so they are shifting a few to other service centers who have a smaller work load or more staff available. I haven't heard anything on my case either - which was transferred to CSC October 1. I kind of suspect that if it gets transferred back to Atlanta I would feel optimistic that I would get an interview soon. Don't know what to make about a case that is transferred to a third serice center that isn't the local office. Good luck.

I understsnd this is really frustrating, why dont you call and speak to the service centre and ask them whts happ here???

i really dont trust them..

WHAT COULD IT ALL MEAN?! :P

I have no idea what the notices really mean or even where your app is. O_o; I'm with the others, calling and finding out some clarifications and information sounds very important.

26 January 2005 - Entered US as visitor from Canada.
16 May 2005 - Assembled health package, W2s.
27 June 2005 - Sent package off to Chicago lockbox.
28 June 2005 - Package received at Chicago lockbox.
11 July 2005 - RFE: cheques inappropriately placed.
18 July 2005 - NOA 1: I-485, I-131, I-765 received!
19 July 2005 - NOA 1: I-130 received!
24 August 2005 - Biometrics appointment (Naperville, IL).
25 August 2005 - AOS touched.
29 August 2005 - AP, EAD, I-485 touched.
15 September 2005 - AP and EAD approved!
03 February 2006 - SSN arrives (150 days later)
27 February 2006 - NOA 2: Interview for 27 April!!
27 April 2006 - AOS Interview, approved after 10 minutes!
19 May 2006 - 2 year conditional green card.
01 May 2008 - 10 year green card arrives.
09 December 2012 - Assembled N-400 package.
15 January 2013 - Sent package off to Phoenix.
28 January 2013 - RFE: signature missing.
