Greetings and salutations from Algerie...oui oui Algerie mon amour!

I almost forget about VJ... then someone reminded me the other day...so I had to come back and check in... Same old, same old I see...

Is it Easter in the US? Why all the talk of Easter and bunnies? LOL I do not even know anymore. :innocent:

Today, the men came to take measurements for the house construction. I went out and *window* shopped me a washing machine. 300,000DA for an automatic Arthur Martin LG model.

Strangely it is rather cold here... warmer in the US now then here  ... I wish it would get up to about 70-75...then stop...cannot handle the 80 and aboves.

clap.gifDoing well with the Derdja...can actually go out shopping alone, haggle a fair price and hold a conversation that includes more then ( ana belish, ana ajnabia ou ana mat femich walooooo and ana bat kellem arabi swaya) grin.gif

Well I am off to bed...tomorrow have hair appointment, then going to some shin-dig ( cannot even remember if it is wedding or engagement) but all the same...I will come back with pix! enchallah :dance:

Tuesday is the first day of Pesach . :)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Well since I already blew my cover (thanks Brndl! ) I have a question. Did you know that you can sew a broken vacuum belt back together AND have it work?? Apparently you can if you have tailor skills. Omar was vacuuming and it wasn't working right. He took the cover off, took out the spinny thing and found the belt was broken. He went and got his handy needle and thread, matching the belt color even, and stitched it together. Put all the parts back on correctly (no left over parts  ) and it worked like a charm. Wonder what else he might come in handy for??

You got that straight girl!! Having read some of the issues people have had with their SO's coming from MENA culture, we talked about that stuff early on. I would no way stand for a guy to come here and do absolutely nothing while I work, cook and clean uh uh no way. Fortunately he has been a man of his word and does his share of things around the house. Thankfully, I won't have to use my connections at RAM for a return ticket. :P

I was not only amazed that he thought to sew the vacuum belt together, but that it worked. I thought sure as shootin' that it would break from the force of the spinny thing. But nope, he got the dining room and living room done.
