ok friends..help me make sense out of this nonsense. Both my petitions were touched today. ITS A SUNDAY... how could that be?

I don't know if i should be excited, nervous.. this immigration process has created havoc for my emotions.

Neel, to be honest, I think these touches are probably just the result of your phone call (I think that was you that called). So I wouldn't read anything to them at all even if on Sunday. But, that said, I would be very excited because I think your approval is coming very soon. I'm excited that mine is coming really soon and you are even ahead of me! We're near the end, my friend, but don't go crazy just yet! :) It is a very maddening process though! That's for sure!

The reason I say don't read anything into the touches...if I remember correctly, you called CSC and asked about your case. I did the same thing on 05/23/07...I got a touch on my I-130 and I-129F both 05/23/07 and 05/24/07, but then nothing since. It looks to me like the same thing you are seeing. I'm hoping this week or next for us!

i guess i am just really hoping for that approval, and looking at the statistics of other individuals whose spouses are from India- my approval date should have been within the last week. thats why i have been giving so much significance to that touch. However, i usually get everything late in life.. so ur probably right- that touch was probably due to that phone call. :crying:

Count me on your boat Neel, I have been geting everything on late through out my whole life (31years so far)... I used to get the result at school on late...the papers back on late.....luggages at the airport : I will be the very last person to get his luggages, got married late(comparatavely to my family persons)....got job on late... and now geting my wife here on late...still un certain... cause I have been waiting since september 2006(I-130), had also filed for I-129F on March 2007... till today no touches since 3/28/2007. Today I called the USCIS and did that RFE trick and guess what.. it really connected to me the VSC (as the machine said..) waited 7 mins then a person identified himself as officer replied my call. I asked whether I have any RFE or not since I waited so long.. and sometime websites doesn't reflect the current data. He checked and said it's pending... and some one still working on it (What type of work is he doing ... for the past nine month???). Any way after the call I check for my case portfolio, but no touches could be found... LvivLovers, did you get the update date right after you call?? or just a day later?? any way above all I am at the same place as I was except now I am sure that there were no RFE sent to me....Oh God please have mercy on me and have them approved my petetion... I have no vacation left to go and visit her.... I am missing her terribly...

Neel, according to the website, still pending. I have not called USCIS for an update and don't want to...NVC had sent my approved petition to India already.

From my experience, the USCIS help line does not tell you any different than what's available on the website (though I know some people have had better luck). I will only confuse the representative when I tell them my petition is already approved.

Neel, I bet that the approval comes very soon. I think that you will have some notice by the end of the month.

Hang in there a little longer. You can do it stay positive. I am expecting to receive notification around 2-3 months after I received the notice that the petition is pending at CSC. So, for me I guess that I should have something by the beginning of September at the very latest. Thank the Lord it will be here.:thumbs:

Neel, I don't blame you, I felt the same way. When my cousin applied for his wife it took only 60 days and for my sister for his husband took 80 days, none of the person that I know from Bangladesh took more than 90 days for just the approval... look at my case it is over 270 days... :crying: and till today VSC officer says they are working on my case???... By the way I just wanted to late you know that 8 hours passed since I called and spoke to VSC officer still none of my cases were touched, therefore I am wishing that the touch that you got on your case is an approval touch... you will get the approval today or tommorrow...for sure.....good luck mannn

i guess i am just really hoping for that approval, and looking at the statistics of other individuals whose spouses are from India- my approval date should have been within the last week. thats why i have been giving so much significance to that touch. However, i usually get everything late in life.. so ur probably right- that touch was probably due to that phone call. :crying:

if i don't receive my approval this week i will seek help from an attorney. It has exactly been 100 days for my I-130 and 89 days for my I-129. majority of the India filers (ones without an RFE) get their approval within this time span. some of u may think i am over reacting.. but i can't help myself i am extremely worried. the sad irony is I am a mental health counselor... and i think i am gonna need therapy myself. THANKS USCIS

Sumon

Hopefully, we will all forget this ordeal once we are reunited with our spouses. It has been 270 days for urs :o ur very patient. Why don't u seek some help. 270 days is just tooo much. anyhow thanks for the best wishes.
