I am sure manpower and CCTV and drones, etc will all be used.  Yes, it will cost some money, but the overall saving the US will get will be well worth it.

I am sure immigration laws are now going to be enforced with Trump, and that will also be a huge deterrent.  Right now Illegals are basically free from civil or criminal laws and are given a free pass.  Heck if I lived in Mexico I would be over here, it a paradise where US laws don't apply to you.

2000 Miles of wall, I am sure a lot of that area is probably desert or mountain and not really easily reached from Mexico.  I do see some fencing going up as well.   But rest to sure most of it will be a Wall.

I'd love to see a breakdown of estimated costs to build and maintain and monitor and patrol the wall, compared to the estimated savings the US will really get by cracking down on immigration. Actual numbers, not just pipe dreams. Also not just Trump stating a number that he pulled from a hat.

Is Mexico itself really the problem? Or maybe the drug policies are the problem? I don't think building a wall is going to mysteriously erase all problems between the US and Mexico. Feel free to drone down drug traffickers on the border all you want, that doesn't stop the fact Americans on the other side of the wall are waiting to buy what contraband they are selling.

But yeah, let's just build a wall and pretend like there isn't a problematic drug culture or drug laws in America, shrug. I guess it "looks" better and makes people feel safer. Safety sells I guess?

the question you wall fans need to ask is if it will deter enough to justify it's initial cost and upkeep. but i guess since you say things like 'is it full proof, of course not but i'm sure it works' so long as the wall is big and flashy, you'll be quite pleasantly entertained and that's all that matters.

We need an estimate of how much our country saves per illegal immigrant. Then an estimate of how many the wall will stop. Compare that to costs for building and upkeep.

Illegal immigration costs us about 113 Billion per year. Not to even mention the crime . You do the math

If you take how much we spend on food, housing, school, medical then it is a no brainer.  The numbers are already out there.  Add in how much money is remitted back to Mexico from illegals and it's a no brainer question.

I'm not the one proposing the wall so I don't need to do the math.

The wall is not going to make that number zero. I would doubt it would even cut it in half.

How do you know the border wall will be worth it financially? We don't even know what the cost of the wall will be yet or the cost to maintain and operate the security systems for it.

Where do you get the notion that US laws do not apply to illegals? You like drinking the kool-aid, eh?

Well you the one who keeps flagellating about costs. So I figured it was important to you. You said it will not cut numbers it half so I assumed you had some numbers worked up.

The wall is going to be great and under budget. Trust me.

It may be, but that doesn't equate to being financially worth the expense.

Mexican national shots and kills a Texas cop, all they have to do is go back to Mexico and if they get extradited here then giving them the death penalty is off the table, US citizen kills a cop in Texas you are getting the needle.

Illegals don't have to have Driver Licenses, cops over look that.  They can lie on federal income tax and IRS will not pursue them, they are basically free from DWI's,  and most moving violation tickets.   If an illegal gets a girl pregnant, there is no way for the attorney general to collect from them.

The list can go on and on.

Flagellating your word of the day?

I have reasonable doubt. I'm not proposing making the expense, so I don't need to put together a detailed report. If someone proposes building something they are the ones that need to provide an estimate of costs and savings.
