Perhaps you should ask the judge, but there are certainly no rules about what you are required to wear at a civil ceremony (or any wedding cermony for that matter).

I can't remember who I was talking to about informal civil ceremonies, but I remember someone saying that a relative wore her jammies to the courthouse. If this is the case, I'm sure pants will be fine. Even without a Sponge Bob logo done in flannel.

I had a civil ceremony, we wasn't going to have a church wedding, we were just ganna do the civil ceremony and that was it, but I wore a nice white gown, wasn't too big, just perfect, my husband wore a nice tux, everyone dressed up, but it is up to you want you want to wear because when we arrived for the ceremony I walked in with my dad and the judge said, well this is different! :) I normally just get people coming in wearing jeans and a t shirt or something, lol, so it's totally up to you what you want to wear, this was ganna be the only time I was ganna wear a wedding dress, as I said we weren't ganna have another ceremony, do what you want to do! :luv:
