Thanks For the Reply Pal

Yeah, this site does make the whole process a bit less mysterious. It's great to see everyone's progress, and I'm pretty sure we all have the same concerns. (Has USCIS forgotten me? What happens next? When should it happen? What should I do?)

Misery loves company. (Okay, that's a bit harsh, but you get the idea.)

do USCIS know how many times we do check our status online? i started  lastly checking my status may be 4 or 6 times a day is this ok?

I think they have the ability of finding out if they want to know that. But I don't think anyone except the IT staff would see that and even then there is a low chance of them giving a darn about it because hundreds of thousands of other users do the same thing.

Relax, this is not a race.

No.

There is absolutely no way for anyone to know how often you (you personally!) are checking your status for several reasons. Anyone can look up your case just be adding or subtracting digits to/from their own case #. There are mobile apps that check via API up to 500 cases at once from a specific case #.

There is nothing "ok" or "not ok" about checking your status. It's there for you to check, any given number of times, at any time, day or night, rain or shine,...etc.

It is irrelevant, as there is nothing wrong with checking a million times or not checking at all, and wouldn't affect USCIS or the process.  Otherwise they wouldn't even have the option.

online status is automated reponse which is fed up against your case no. neither government has any interest in how many times you view it nor you are alone doing this ...i bet there are some people who check every half hour, i used to check every day atleast 2 to 3 times once(sometimes when i was sure something is comming up i would check 6,7 times a day, now i know nothing is up its been days i havnt checked), not only you but anyone can look at your no, there is nothing whatsoever to worry about
