my 3rd-month after fingerprints, still NO UPDATE from USCIS. The art of waiting.. lol

Today is the 90th day since I am "in-line". I have gone through the threads from applicants of earlier months. There are still a good chunk of December, November, October applicants (I don't look beyond October) that are still waiting for their interviews to be scheduled.
I do not know if it is worth to do the e-request thingy or should I just wait.....

You should just wait.  The timing of the interviews is dependent upon the field office.  Someone from Denver that applied in November just received their interview letter last week, so we should expect to wait at least 2 more months for an interview letter.

I would have done e-request definitively if most people would have gotten their interview letters, since most haven't gotten them I don't think they would expedite the case on erequest , however couple of people mentioned it worked but i think it was a mere coincidence. But it is up to you, for my self I have decided to leave it on its own for time being

In my opinion, nothing you can do...We can keep bugging them if we want but, it's not going to really speed up the process.... (sigh)... But you can try just to follow up.  I made a phone call follow up last week and requested for an update with confirmation number on such request, customer service told me to wait 15-30 days for USCIS response,....At least I tried, though it's outside of my control anymore.  Some are just lucky having 3-4 naturalization process, while others are not so much.

can someone please update the dates on this list as i mentioned earlier in my comments few days ago. I want to know how long does it take to prepare for the interview? I have a busy schedule due to traveling and work and want to estimate the total time i need to spend in getting this right? Also what sources should i use for prep? Would it be fine to just go through the given booklet by USCIS? or do i need to purchase anything? need estimate regarding preparation please.

The booklet should be fine.  Read through it one time, then put all the questions and answers on flash cards to memorize.  The exam is pretty straightforward, you give them the exact answer given in bold in the booklet for each question (not the paragraphical explanations for each - they don't ask that).

 

Most do all this once they get the interview letter, as usually the time between that letter and the actual interview is a month, and that is all the time that is needed.  Plus it is fresher in your mind if you wait until then.

Got my email last night saying my interview is scheduled. I'll update the list later when I'm on the computer - on the phone right now and don't wish to screw up the formatting. 

 

The good news is I'm Chicago so some movement at last from one of the larger cities. I know there are a couple other January folks in the Chicago area.

I'm in the Chicago area, and I also got an email notice last night that my interview is scheduled and the interview notice is on the way! I was worried the Chicago field office was going to take a lot longer with interview scheduling.
