Not at all and they filed by marriage and thry wear headscarves ( from Muslim countries ) it made me less worried with everything we hear lately about banning Muslim refugees

There is definitely a push in that direction, especially with weird claims like Islam "is not a religion and thus it is not entitled to the religious freedom rights".
But thanks to the concept of the rule of law and the complexity of the bureaucratic system they are unable to get where they want to get to. That is why I love this country for its rule of law and freedom.

Hello

There's no movement on my case since i appeared for the fingerprints in Jan. I'm travelling outside the country next week for 9 days and would like to hear any piece of advice which could be beneficial for me. Kindly give your two cents...

Thanks

Vik

Hang in there. If you get your interview letter while you're away, there's a big chance that your interview date wlll be sometime later - most likely one month after receiving the interview letter, if I were to base it on other applicants' timelines.

Go ahead with your plan, it doesn't look like you will have interview scheduled in 9 days, they give some days after sending interview letter, it is usually one month

Day 51, another beautiful day of waiting, it feels so god to be waiting and knowing that they are super slow and will use every excuse on Earth and the Solar system to be even slower. You can feel how hard they try to prolong this waiting period for you......just the idea of this wonderful waiting period could actually be over some day scares me.... :D:D:D

Relax, this is not a race.

Processing times for N-400 applications are 8 months.  For January filers, this means September.

Therefore, given that the average time between the interview letter and the date of the actual interview being 1 month, this means that for most of us, we won't be seeing the interview letter until August.

And this isn't even considering the recent slowdown occurring due to increased DACA processing since the election season.

In other words, don't hold your breath until late summer and pull your hair out stressing yourself.  Relax and let it come when it comes.
