Yesterday I had my fingerprint appointment at the USCIS Office in Tampa Florida. It is the second time I go there for the finger prints, so I was mentally prepared to wait there for one hour.

This is my experience, as soon as I walked into the office (that's a huge building), the security guys were there, I had to take off my shoes, belt, keys all metal items and I walked thru the metal detector. The security guys were a little bit bitter. So I went to the fingerprint area, there was a huge line waiting to check in, it took me 15 min to get to the reception and check in, where they gave me my turn and the civil test book. The place was completely packed, and they do not have enough seats for everyone. There were 46 people in front of me. After 2 hours and 10 min I was called out, it took them no more than 10 min to take the picture and the fingerprints.

Hopefully this is going to be the last time I have to do finger prints at the USCIS TAMPA.

Updating my M-I-L bio appointment, Yesterday we went to ASC Elizabeth NJ, but they couldn't take it, because for the girl found "an incongruence" with my M-I-L middle name (in the latin people we sometimes use 2 words for mn, for example: Del Carmen) In her GC the Inicial middlename: D. In her DL: C ; in her SS card: Del Carmen and she has the marriage last name in her GC, SS, DL but in her colombian passport the maiden name. The manager asks for her passport but she not brought. So she gave us an open appointment, we went today, but the manager found "problems" with her last name not the middle and she made changes to the maiden name and recomend to change to married last name during the interview. can you believe that. Finally she did it after almost 3 hours waiting for.
