N-400 January 2017 Filers

Hello everybody. I have a quick question, I did early walk-in for finger prints because I couldn't be in the city the day the have scheduled it for me. Do I have to notify USCIS about it or it was automatically updated because I did finger prints? Also, could somebody add me here, I am afraid I will do something wrong myself... Here is my information: GC date 04/19/12, N-400 sent January 19, check cashed on January 25, fingerprints were scheduled on February 1st for February 17th but I did walk-in on February 9. You have to assume that not everyone will update the website as soon as they have some updates. This is a 6-9 months process.

When you said 6-9 month process, did you mean the whole process counted from the date your application received, or counted from the date you had biometric?

My point being, we are just about 30 days into this process. Patience is the key.

Process is only 3 months if there is no backlog. ... my family got in 3 months 4 years ago, however apparently it seems like it will take 6 months how past few month fillers are suggesting and i was pointing to that... aint saying didn't get it done in 30 days.... don't panic

I just did my biometrics at the Denver Application Support Center. That place was packed. The staff are extremely busy, I would say overworked even. I see that it is a contracted out facility, but they need to monitor that place for workload and quality.
The staff were friendly and supportive, but they are just too busy.
She took my picture before I even knew she was going to. I kind of could see that in the shot as well, but she said it was "OK". I was too shy to ask for a better, normal picture. I hope this won't be a problem down the road. She was rushing with fingerprints too (I know this because I gave fingerprints just recently for my employment background check). But they all blinked "green" (I took it for "accepted") on the screen.
She gave me the booklet for civics exam and that was it.
So, I think the "quick moving" part of the application process is over. I am in no rush, as long as they process it within reasonable time period.
