It should work now. You have to write NBC and even the "*" character if you have it. Below are the full instructions:

The receipt number is a unique 13-character identifier that USCIS provides for each application or petition it receives. The agency uses it to identify and track its cases.

The receipt number consists of three letters-for example, EAC, WAC, LIN, SRC, NBC, MSC or IOE-and 10 numbers. You can find it on notices of action USCIS has sent you.

Omit dashes ("-") when entering a receipt number. However, you can include all other characters, including asterisks ("*"), if they are listed on your notice as part of the receipt number.

It should be working with the NBC, check if there is another number on the biometric appointment letter. I have to say that the website is very slow and sometimes USCIS doesn't update the status of the cases there.

Its working now , thanks, its weird in the receipt it says received in January 24, the date when they got my package, and online when i just checked my status it says received January 27, is this mistake?

I think mine showed different dates as well. The hard copy shows the date the application was received. The online status used to show the date my card was charged. It's unimportant in the end, but I would go with the paper NOA for your records.

reading from earlier months and vjs experiences, if you clear background check and you are less than 1 month away from your 3rd or 5th green card anniversary, you will be placed in line....however if you appllied 3 months earlier as law allows you are not placed in line until 1 month is remaining for 3rd or fifth greencard anniversary .....so they hold your application and excactly one month before anniversary when you are due to be citizen they put you in line.....so people who didnt apply early will see in line for interview as soon as there background clears

i have nbc no. too i think all people who send n400 to dallas lockbox get that no. not sure if other lockbox have nbc or different code but it is nothing that you should be worring about , many of us have nbc no...

your case status will change from case recieved once there will be new update....it is likely to be fingerprint notice is sent .....good luck
