Not sure about the USCIS anymore... so, decided to go directly to my state management

I have no depression I guess, but I gave up... Or maybe it is a depression lol... So, if even 6 month ago I was thinking to give a nice speech on Oath ceremony than today I think if it's ever happen I will just pick the certificate saying thank you and this is basically it...  this waiting kills all my excitement about the ceremony and so on...

If I were you, I would rather go to visit Georgia... There is nothing to do in Kazakhstan but nature... But the government does not develop tourism whatsoever...

Everything is extremely expensive and no good service at all... Most likely you will rent a car, so keep in mind, traffic cops will constantly stop you to check your ID but eventually they will call a bribe to let you go... 

I would think you can spend your money with way more fun than Kazakhstan... LOL

Hello All,

As of September 30th, 2017 Norfolk USCIS processing applications for January 23rd, 2017 priority day.

So, now I am officially out of normal processing time... Called 1-800... talked to rep and it was absolutely useless. 

Is anybody knows if I should try anything else? Or waiting 2 month and then send a request to State Representative is only an option? I'm highly doubt is Infopass will help in anyways since it was useless in Jul-17 as well...

Regular 1-800 rep has no extra information about your case. They just see what you see. When you talk to the 1-800 rep, politely ask him/her to transfer you to talk to a Level 2 officer. This is a immigration officer who can see where your file is etc. You may request a call back if they are busy. Talking to level 2 officer can be productive. You should ask if your background check came back. Maybe thats what is holding your case.

I just spoke with Tier 2 officer. So, she could not say whether my background check clean or not. She only said that my case still in the National Benefit Center and was not transferred to Norfolk yet. She could not exactly tell why. She only said it's on hold.

When I asked her does it mean that my background is not clean she said no, it does not mean so and meanwhile it does no mean it's clean either... Also she said they run background check till the Oath. 

Not really sure what to do know... If they think I may be potentially dangerous to the States, why don't they call me directly and get me with the FBI officers to prove that even if I'm from Kazakhstan, I am not a terrorist... I'm fine to go through the lie detectors and so on... 

Her phrase: "Case in on hold" ruined my day...

OK so most probably your background check has not come back yet. Nothing you can do at this point and i dont think your congressman or senator can also help in this although it does not hurt to contact them. I think they can help ONLY when the process is stuck at USCIS level. Other vj'ers may correct me if i am wrong.

They don't necessarily look at "terrorism" stuff only, there are many other things that may delay background clearance. To be honest, I don't understand why you keep connecting it to "terrorism" your country is more like Russia rather than anything else and in fact it may be this "russia-like" factor that may be causing the delay not the "terrorism" stuff. By the way what does your nick mean? Does it mean skinhead_AlmaAta?

Finally, Got text yesterday evening "Interview Scheduled". Will update the Interview date once I received the letter in mail. Was in line since march 31st didn't had that one updated. hence, its updated now.

Seeing your timeline, it's 10 months already from your PD...Don't get discourage yet, "on hold" in my opinion looks like some IO in charge in your application pull up your file and is processing it for interview.   Wait for a few weeks, maybe you'll receive an interview letter and I do hope so.    The reason I've said that because several people here and in other sites are receiving interview letter 10-months from their PD...
