Break out the red ink. My nail biting, nerve wracking, frustrating journey is finally over. And my process from start to finish was completely by the book. Still, it felt gruelling.

For everyone still in the process, all I can say is keep being inspired and encouraged by all the people on here, they are great. You never feel alone. It just takes a lot of time. (More than it should). But you will finally swear that Oath and relax. (Until you need to fork over a bunch of $$$ at the Post Office for your passport)

I've read several postings online in other sites regarding this issue, I can sense now that the main problem lies in NBC after the BC is finished and not the FO. The reason I believed this is because, I filed a service request online (second one) last week and 3 days later there's mini-update info below my case page stating that my case is assigned to an IO for a response and until now no response otherwise they would have responded right away saying it is BC pending, like they have done to my first online service request on July 1. They can look it up easily online if the BC is pending or not once it is assigned to an IO for follow up and responded in email..But nope, no response That's why no email response on my service request after it's assigned to an IO because the BC is already completed but the NBC is taking further time to forward my case for an interview....Can't hold the FO for delay on that as more and more applicants have noticed that the FO has no control on the interview schedule, the root of the issue is the NBC...Few postings I read somewhere, the FO told the applicants (through info pass follow up) that the problem is NBC pointing finger to the FO when in reality they're the ones holding it up delayed after the BC is cleared and they (FO) are just waiting when NBC will forward the cases to their local offices.....NBC is terrible...

Our Kendall FO was running without electricity and was closed for 3 weeks so now they are back logged dramatically and the processing time increased from 6-7 months to 10months.

So I assume they have to rescaduler first all the interview and oath appointments during the hurricane and after they are done with that they could make the appointments for the rest of filers. I am in line since May 09.

According the official processing time I could expect my interview letter not early than Dec-Jan'18 which is of course frustrating ... wish everyone Good luck with this journey...
